My mind had been shuffling between my birthday and my crazy load of college work. I feel so extremely fortunate to have a number of people try (very successfully) to make my birthday as joyful as possible… and for that… i’m impossibly speechless. And if you know me - i can say aloT so ‘Joyce speechless’ is something! I spent most of my birthday at home doing work… *shock* haha… Had a drink with Afzan before seeing Aishah and my lecturer Joseph in 3nity for my critique session. I was kinda afraid cos Joseph didn’t seem in a good mood and blared everybody’s work one by one *heartbeatfaster* but i got thru alive heh.
Mary, Ashley and i had a girlie’s night out in Delawi. I couldn’t have thought of two other people i would rather have spent the night bitching and laughing with till we were tired out and dying to go home!
At first, we sat outside thinking that it was less noisy and we could talk more.
No.
There was this street concert being held (on a Wednesday night?!) on Telawi street. I think they expected the street to be filled with people seeing how they closed the road.
No.
The road was filled by a tenth. At one point, some performer shouted enthusiastically, “Make some NOISE!!!”
No.
There was no noise.
Ashley burst out laughing.

I was supposed to go for a pre-birthday dinner with Aaron last night. He insisted on blindfolding me and took me for a long car ride. Than, i had to walk in my best heels while blindfolded through grass, a stonepath and those car park ramps with lines debossed in the cement. I was bitching actually tee hee.
When i took off the blindfold, I was in Gen’s apartment with a whole group of friends yelling ’surpRISE!’
I was overwhelmed.
Truly shocked.
Totally overjoyed.
I wasn’t crying, it was the blindfold irritating my eyes goddammit!

I am so AMAZED this was planned among my close friends (who don’t see each other if not for me) and the best part was, Mary super bluffed me on this one! She said she’s going to Hong Kong bla bla bla and ’sorry i won’t be there for your birthday’ bla bla bla… ARGH!

I was so super stressed out at one point i almost broke into tears. *pant*
But it’s all good now… sorted out some job stuff i was dreading, some deadline stuff that put my heart into overdrive and i made another work schedule so i can be more focused.

Mary Loves Tiesto
I think my candles are slowly burning a bit this week. And i don’t mean because i’m turning a number either.
I practically coLLAPSED on my couch at 4 am when i was supposed to be doing more work. eeks.
On a different note, I went to a bbq last night that Gobi threw. The food was good, and the punch was even better… I sat next to it while eating so i knew how it was made haha.
Mary would come up and chuck in more vodka on the sly.
Than Rita would come up saying ‘no alcohol lar!’ and dunk in beer.
BEER??!!
Actually, it was pretty darn good…
Mary made an awesome slip of the tongue (tho is it considered a slip of the tongue if said twice?) which was the butt of our jokes for a small part of the night.
There were many bottles of ketchup sitting on the table. Mary happily grabbed one of them exclaiming happily,
“oh! The ketchup is only one buck a bottle at Tiesto y’know!”
“TIESTO huh… ” *joyce raises an eyebrow and grins*
“oOPS!! HEE HEE! shaddup!” *grins tipsily and tries to run off*
“eh, raving too much la you… Tesco also become Tiesto…”
Handsome Adrian was there too, a riot, i say! He made all these hilarious lewd comments too xxx to put up here. I will advertise Handsome Adrian when i have a more handsome photo of him *wink*
