Joyce Wong & Partner
read the wedding invitation.
I stared at the words, my brow furrowed and lips puckered
Who should i ask to go with me?
I thought of this particular lad i’ve been eyeing and impulsively consulted a couple bout it while we were having drinks at Atrium on Thursday night
“Hey, is it weird to ask a guy to teman me to a wedding as a date?” i asked
Upon enquiries, we established that i haven’t gone out with him alone yet
“Well, i suppose it’s okay…” said SpankyCammy
I turned to RowdyRudy, “What do you think?”
“NO. Nooooo” his eyes widened and he shook his head slowly for drama, “If a girl asked me out on a first date to a wedding, i’d be a little freaked out!”
“Hmm, okay la. Then i don’t know who to ask. I can’t even layan them the whole time cos i gotta emcee.”
I asked KinkyPug. Invite said ‘partner’ didn’t it? He’s a partner. Albeit, one that doesn’t swing my way. And even he wasn’t very keen on attending a wedding where he doesn’t know the others at my table.
I *can* think of guys i could ask, but i don’t want to give them false hope that i’m somehow interested in them.
And then the one that i *am* semi-interested in, i don’t want to ask, cos Rudy said i’ll freak him out.
Goddammit. Getting a ‘partner’ for a wedding is so difficult? Die la, want to find partner for life. -_-
FoxyLisa called to confirm whether i was bringing a ‘partner’. That word is starting to haunt me.
“Erh, i don’t know yet. Are there any hot guys at the wedding?”
“Wellll, there are lots of single ones… and my brother’s coming too, you’ve never met him.”
“Hmm, okay la. I’m not bringing a date.”
So that’s that.
One of the key points of going for a wedding is to mingle and drink, and i’m much too lazy to babysit.
