Stylo Fashion Fest Launch

I’s already going for Stylo for my publication, but after blogging about it earlier last week, the PR company sent me invites to go.
Sweet.
Laughing
Thank you.

So many unworn things in my closet yet able to look into it thinking, “I have nothing to wear…”

As SarChan would put it - Epic fail.
(she wrote a bit about Sunburst, you can go read ;) Kevin confirm will blog about that, so need no mention :D)

Finally decided to keep it simple (read: running late) and grabbed at a blue dress by some Thai designer i hadn’t worn yet.

While waiting for SluttyShah to arrive. He be my VIP.

I was afraid of being late cos i know it’s damn shy to walk into a fashion show late… but we weren’t at all, everyone was waiting for the Queen to arrive, i think.

They had heaps of Shu Uemura eyelashes on display and i ran to see whether they had new ones.
They do! These feathery grey ones with white spots on them. I have the older version with the small spots, but not these ones! Come to think of it, i haven’t worn those yet. One day i’ll take pics of my eyelash collection.

*bimbo grin*

It’s interesting seeing what everyone’s get up is like.
There were the superformals, the bling and silky, the rock funky (didn’t see much of that), the preppy, some overdoing it, and some basically losing the plot.

“That’s so last season!”
“… Don’t be so judgmental! Die la liddat.”

I saw these three guys who were so cool though.
So cool i have to talk about them.

They sat with their backs against the wall, all in black-rimmed glasses, with either fringes or hats.

“Eh Shah… siapa tu? They look so awesome!”
“Where?”
“Our eleven o’clock.”
“Eh, yeah la… dunno.”

My favourite was the one in the middle, with his superlapsapcontrasting pink and canary pants. He had this really blur look which i found charming. It’s like, guys with that blur expression look like they need to be pounced upon. And ravaged.
Okay i’m being stalker-ish, i’ll stop.

Will Quah was emceeing and we were well bowled over by all the Malay formalities he had to spurt in presence of the Queen. You know, like Yang something something and it goes on and on for eons.

“How long do you think he took to memorize that?!”
“… dude, if you paid me the same, i would sit my ass down and memorize it all day as well!”

Melinda Looi’s show was fantastic, and we were super impressed with how it went soundly with the music.

The first collection was my favourite amongst the three.
Quirky and whimsical with dashes of aliceinwonderland and teaparty bubbliness.

The Queen in blue.
Mell slipped and fell over on the stage, bringing upon a collective gasp from the audience.

“Oh crap…”
“Aiyo kesian, somemore she’s pregnant!”

After the show, everyone was ushered to the after-party venue.
These stilt-walkers showed us the way and SluttyShah didn’t like them cos they scared him. Heh.

See the light on the wall? It’s a boobie!
The deco in the place was pretty cool, mannequins hanging from the ceiling, their ‘dresses’ serving as lights.
Toilet bowls as seats as well which i didn’t get at first till we just contended ourselves that, “Oh, bathroom… nekkid… right.”

Who will soon be… a certain someone’s new colleague.
Clueless

Went to Twentyone after that to meet up with TattleShan.

Alena, Shan (okay, so doens’t look like her in the pic…) + Willy

The 21 guys gave Shan the table across the DJ (Victor G was spinning that night) even though she said there’re only a few of us.

Hence a lot of space for me to shamelessly lie around in.

QueenKanch and her sis Shal came to join us, then i got dragged home by the man (yeah, i guess he’ll just be know as the man now. DM leaves a bad aftertaste in my mouth after all that rubbish drama) before i got made to drink more. Those martinis can kill, man.

We were having this debate about Maggi Mee and how much i think it rocks whereas he thinks otherwise.
Then as we were walking out of 21, i went up to the girl at the counter asking, “Do you like Maggi?!”

Lagi kena dragged off.

“The girl looked damn scared okay! My sister and i died laughing,” said Kanch.
“Aiyo fuck… better go say sorry next time >.<”

I still think Maggi rocks.
Who can not like Maggi?!

Wait yar.

I uploaded pics to blog about the weekend, but i got distracted clicking on Malaysian Dreamgirl.
I’m just watching the second episode and i died laughing watching this part when they were asking a contestant what’s her favourite food.

Girl: Susi (i was like, huh? what? susu? susi? is this some… restaurant i don’t know…)
Judges: *all* What..?
Girl: Susi…
Judge Kenny: Susi?
Girl: Yes.
Judges: Sushi? Japanese sushi?
Girl: Yes.

Elaine put her head on the table laughing.

Okay i want to watch Alison and Ringo in action. Will blog later.

Here. Entertain yourself with a picture of Mr. Dragonfly #493 in my garden!

BzzZZz… BZZT!

“Oh, tish tosh, human.”

Fairy Transport.

We had a nice chat. Then i had to run out for event. He called me a snob. I said, hey look, you’re the one in my garden. Then he launched into a tirade on how land is every living thing’s property. I was all, whoa, you don’t understand how people deal with stuff here. He said we’re not done with our conversation yet, but it’s been raining so i haven’t seen him since then.

Okay i finished watching Malaysian Dreamgirl till Episode 4.
Can’t believe i spent my time watching it -_-

I think Alison and Jay are the better spoken ones amongst the 12.
And they’re both hot, so i was thinking, “Man… these indians really have it la. Hot, got booty, and indians are always funnier.”
Prollie won’t comment too much on Alison cos i’m bias and i think she’s hilarious and smart anyway.

CheesieRingo… can see some of the girls aren’t happy she’s back in the show cos she’s a blogger.
The way i see it, the show’s aired online. So obviously the tv station wanted to get her back in for additional coverage of it, kan?
Marketing wut.
But i must admit i don’t fancy her on tv… she’s a genuine sweetheart and pretty but her tv presence has to be improved tremendously la.

I like Jean. She doesn’t speak with a (fake) accent whatsoever and there were some things she said which made me warm to her.

Valerie’s pretty cool too. Def more spunk then most of them.

There’s one girl who said she’d be perfect modeling for Victoria’s Secret, or something like that.
I was like, are you fucking kidding me?
At least say la something more down to earth like Coke or Canon or something.
Can die wei hear some of these answers.

Then there was another one was super whiny and crying.

The others i don’t remember cos nothing much.

Friends aside, my favourite contestant is:

Hanis, Malaysian Dreamgirl

Hanis Winky

She’s the youngest of the lot at 18, but i feel the way she presents herself isn’t pretentious. Yeah, some are complaining she’s manja and shit, but i think she’s damn adorable la.

Go Hanis!

Walau, who would’ve thought i’d get into this Malaysian Dreamgirl thing?

-_-
