After much procrastination, i’ve been car-shopping with QueenKanch accompanying me.
I already kinda know what i want after sitting in SpankyCammy’s new black Myvi SE.
Previous personal thoughts on the Myvi was that it’s really ugly.
>.<
I’m just being a typical girl la.
I want the car to look good.
I want a nice colour.
I want it to accelerate quickly cos i’m always rushing.
I want it to be able to speed over bumps without too much braking.
I want good handling for corners so i don’t have to slow down too much. >.<
I want it less than 60k.
When i took notice of SpankyCammy’s car (plus it must’ve helped she’s such a happy driver, playing happy songs and singing to herself as she dropped me off!) i really liked how the back of the car looked, plus, it’s around my price range.

KL is always packed with events week in and week out, and one that promises a blend of sound, visual innovation and delectable cocktails, would be the title i wrote above – Hennessy Artistry @ Aloha club this 31st May.
This will be the second phase of the Hennessy Artistry tour in 2008, the first being on 18th April at Zouk, which i blogged about a little while back. After trying all the Hennessy VSOP world city cocktails there, i went home to find a gazillion party pictures in my digicam (0_o) which i posted when writing about the party after.
Of course, the pictures there are nothing compared to heaps others of guests partying the night away which you can view on the Hennessy Artistry Malaysia website.
If you didn’t already know (it’s embedded in my head by now!) Hennessy Artistry is a global music campaign that promotes mixing various genres (kinda like how they’re mixing Hennessy into new fusions yeah?) and the very cool thing is the campaign spans from New York to Shanghai.
Guests can look forward to three carefully chosen acts this upcoming event at Aloha.

I got an sms from JustinYap this morning - “Hey i finally found out the price for the lovely fairy bag at Prada. It’s RM8,480. Lol.”
I wrote back – “Fuck. So… i can choose whether to buy that. Or a car. -_-”
Siao ar. Then what am i gonna do, sit in my fairy bag and hope to fly in it?

Even the campaign is so me… looks like the kind of world i’d live in.

I wanted to just post a couple of underwater pictures, but got a bit carried away with a few extra ones that lead up to them. I really really want to blog more but it’s late and i have other work to do.

More pictures of Tioman last weekend:

After diving, we decided to take an easy afternoon and snorkel at Coral Bay instead.
Six of us sharing one boat, RM60 each.
I bet it could have been cheaper but we couldn’t bargain it lower as it was.
Or maybe we just sucked at it.

MaryBerry, DoraemonKenny, Fairy, spinner!

Emilio, Denis, Costa
You know what the picture below is..?

It’s proof that spinners bring smiles and laughter to people regardless of age, race and origin.

Daymn. I should be a Spinner Spokesperson.

Beautiful day, couldn’t have asked for better weather!

And then you know what. When we reached Coral Island/Bay/Reef/whatever, we discovered that the people on the main island forgot to put the snorkeling stuff into the boat.

So us six made best we could – swam out to sea, played with spinner, took heaps of pictures, put on music. I thought it’d be terrible we didn’t all have our snorkeling stuff together, but it was so gorgeous a place and everyone was in such a good mood that it was impossible not to have fun.

We took heaps of shots underwater with Emilio’s and Kenny’s digicams. So far i only have the ones from Kenny’s:

Haha! Fish getting into the picture!

Then we started getting whack, wearing our sunglasses and holding the spinner underwater. Okay. So it was my idea.

After a while, MaryBerry and i were getting really good at posing underwater

Check that out man. We look like we’re doing kung fu kicks.

Kenny joined us for a picture too…

MaryBerry’s by far the best poser.
Look at that easygoing stance in the water, relaxed smile and open eyes.
Me, boleh jalan la.
My bouyancy a bit lari in this picture but at least i’m smiling!
And Kenny…
0_-
Closed eyes… muka pucat macam nak mati lemas… and that angle *puts on Malaysian Dreamgirls judge voice* It’s really not one of your best angles, i’ve seen better. *stops Malaysian Dreamgirls judge voice*

I hope Emilio sends us the pictures soon, i want them!
All this picture-taking underwater is beckoning me to get an underwater casing too… SO FUN.
I can already imagine the crazy pictures i want to take in the kiddy pool with colourful balls floating on top.
*psycho glint in eyes*

Oh, i went to watch the premiere of Indiana Jones last night.
There were some scenes which left me wide-mouthed screaming mentally, “That. WAS. SO. COOL!!! Yay!!! Go Indyyyyy!!!”

I wouldn’t say that people underestimate PR, at the rate PR agencies are paying and nicking individuals with natural PR skills to said industry. In fact, i wholly respect those who have the ability to sweet talk and assert themselves as friends in the first ten minutes upon meeting anybody when it’s not an easy task.
Moving on, the reason for the title of the post was ignited by a small incident that happened last week at an event. A fellow blogger came up to say hi, that they’re coming for CGYT and, hey, by the way, could you take a picture with this phone?
I replied, “Urm, yeah, sure,” till i saw the brand of the phone.
Now. I wouldn’t have petty beef with the brand unless it was something that really ticked me off. And when i say really, i say it with memory of the profound annoyance i felt at the time.
This was sometime mid-2007 when particular mobile phone brand approached me for blog advertising and viral blog marketing. I readily agreed and we went through the pipeline to get the project through.
Countless emails.
Meetings.
Phonecalls.
Drafts of ideas.
You get my drift.
When push came to shove, my finance consultant and i sat down to work out the quotation. Emailed it in. Never got a reply.
I thoroughly respect how it works when it comes to pitches.
You pitch, it doesn’t work out, hey no problem, thanks for trying, move on.
What pushed my our buttons was that after chasing me for this and that, you disappeared out of thin air.
I called. Left a voicemail. Emailed you, so what’s happening?
No reply.
Wow. Can chase me day and night, tiba-tiba no reply?
To think the PR people in your company have no, well, PR courtesy (and common sense) to merely email, “Hey, we don’t think this is working out, but thank you very much for your effort and time,” didn’t go down well.
And you think, hey, this will blow by, bla bla bla.
Pfft. You think by foregoing a small email, it’ll blow away but the toes you stepped on remember.
Ever since then, i swore never to buy a phone from your brand.
Not because i hate your brand. But because i disrespect the PR people you hired.
I’m not one to hold grudges easily, but the amount of hours that was required to pitch for the project minus a singular line of rejection is unacceptable.
When i was hunting for a new phone to buy early this year, someone pointed out your brand, “Hey, what about this one? Slim, something you want right?”
Glancing at it, i said firmly, “No. I will never buy that brand. Show me any other phone except that.”
And i will never buy your brand. It’s funny cos i used to think it’s quite cool. Now every time i look at it on a phone, i can’t help but scoff inwardly.
And that. Is why. PR is so important.

It’s awesome being away from the internet for four days! I think it’s like a relationship. It rekindles passion again. But what do i know about relationships, i seem to suck at them.
I think Kenny was worse at being away from the Internet.
Wait, i don’t *think* he was worse.
He was definitely worse!
At one point he was hugging his laptop outside a cyber cafe in Mersing which was late in opening cos he needed to put a post up.
I think MaryBerry couldn’t tahan being with two bloggers so dependent on communication that she wailed at us, “Switch off handphones! No laptops!”
Me: Chill la Mary… no reception also la

We went diving, i saw an adult black-tipped shark, drank to bits, made DoraemonKenny drink a flaming, made friends with our dive group and ate and drank with them, went to two deserted beaches where we took heaps of camwhoring pictures underwater, another day MaryBerry and i went to a beach alone and NOONE was there, so we stripped and ran around the beach stark naked till we saw a couple snorkeling to shore and ran for our clothes giggling.
I read half of Richard Branson’s Losing my Virginity (which i bought AGES ago and never had the time to start!), got well tanned from all that mooching about in the sun, and ate four times a day (i usually have time for only one or two meals a day here -_-).
Happiest picture i have of MaryBerry!

Most poser picture i have of DoraemonKenny.

Most relaxed picture of the fairy

Will post up Langkawi and other Tioman pics later tonight. Gonna run out and join Milcah and her friends for dinner. She be my caretaker.
