Hmm So That Was Pointless

So i had the chatterbox up for a few months, thinking that maybe people can well, chat on it. That’s what it’s for right?

Instead of chatting it got spammed with:
- ads and links = utterly pointless and unwanted on my side
- random ‘hi’ from strangers = not like i’ll answer every one, i don’t even have time to answer all the ‘post comments’ i get, but i do read them all :)
- incredible insults = undesirable
- psychotic (i swear… damn weird) msgs from fictional characters saying things that didn’t make sense

I saw a msg someone left tonight -

missy: jebus. joyce, take this cbox off! the comments are rude, vulgar.. so takde respect. seriously la ppl, clog some other person’s blog. u dun like what’s her, click X. simple. mentality yg memalukan!

Then i thought, hmm. I moderate my comments for the same reason - to keep my online space untarnished and MINE. The chatterbox didn’t achieve what i’d hoped it would, which is random chatting amongst people.

So fuck it.

Haha.

StephTheVolcano’s Day

Monday bla bla bla
Normal
Deal with work
Bla bla bla
Ate nasi lemak with ayam goreng for lunch
Cold cucumber
And sambal

Then

Power went out in the evening

I heard colleagues screeching in the office when their computers shut down
Lucky i didn’t have anything i didn’t save else i’d be screaming too

Someone told us an accident just happened right outside the office
And since we had no life work, we went to do the typical Malaysian thing of standing around watching the hullabaloo going on - a 5-vehicle pile up on the mainest (i know the word doesn’t exist, go away!) of the main roads in KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang.

accident on BB

Causing huge jam behind it.

accident on BB

A truck must’ve gone too fast and couldn’t brake in time.
Havoc.
Jam at 6pm.

Went to La Risata for StephTheVolcano’s bday dinner.
Stephie baby

Too cute.

We had a bottle or red at La Risata (their mushroom soup is goooood).
Then a bottle of white at Vintry.
Just to be fair because our preference was split down the middle.
Mine, of course, was red.

Of Colours and Numbers

I was standing on the side of the road in the middle of Ampang when i happened to glance down at what i’m guessing used to be colourful fans..?

Broken Colour

So it’s broken. And the beige bits look shabby. But the colour still maintain.
 :xwinky:

*****************************

I just sent BenBen for his first service yesterday when his mileage hit 1,000 km.
Before that, i noticed a particular number it hit that i *had* to take a picture of.

888

Damn ong right :xlaughing:

Is Everyone Recovering Too?

My lips have been drying like crazy the past week and i know i’m not the only one.
“It’s the damn weather…” i whined to AshleyTheMonkey
“Global warming i’m tellin’ ya.”

Hennessy Artistry last night was a blast.
My guess that they spent 1 mil on it was wrong. A little bird told me they spent 1.5 mil. I don’t know how much that’s true.

I started off slow cos knowing how yummy the cocktails are and the long night it was going to be chatting and partying away, i didn’t want to kaput faster than i should!

Three pictures from the night first :xlaughing:

Leon first caught my eye at the Moet party a month back. I walked into the event and immediately spotted someone wearing a House of Holland shirt.
Whoa. Someone here has a House of Holland shirt? I’ve never seen anyone wear one in Malaysia before!

I couldn’t stop staring and we somehow veered towards each other before introducing ourselves.
I’m his fan.
I kept on following him around last night, he must’ve got annoyed.

 :xsilly:

And of course, have to show off the pic with the man.

Flo Rida woohoo
tiny me, Flo Rida, MilcahG

I left the Hennessy party with MilcahG, Adam and Stefan; and we went back to her apartment to after-party.

Today at noon as we walked down her apartment corridor:
“I’m doing the Walk of Shame.”
“What’s that?” asked Milcah
“The Walk of Shame is when you party so hard and end up going home in the same clothes you were in the night before!”

Hair Today. Gone Tomorrow… Permanently in 6 Months at Any Rate!

Hair removal is a monthly, if not weekly, activity for girls.
Whenever i ask girlfriends what they’re doing on a Saturday, at least one will answer, “Going threading/waxing,” as one of their errands.

Conversations over dinner sometimes veer towards where one goes for hair removal, efficiency, and cost comparison.
And if a guy is present, we’d usually apologise… then continue yakking.

Besides the typical methods of shaving, waxing or threading; a fairly new procedure some of us have heard about is (IPL) laser hair removal.
And because it’s still strange to most of us, majority of girls haven’t tried it yet neither have i spoken to anyone who has got around to doing it.

I did read up about it online and the more i read, the more intrigued i was by it.

6 treatments and you never have to shave/wax ever again in your life?
Damn.

Calculating the cost (cos its not cheap), i realised that the money i would spend on (IPL) laser hair removal versus the money, time *and* effort i’d save from shaving and waxing the rest of my life was well worth it.

Last month i made my first appointment with Bella to get started on Joyce’s Quest for No Shaving… Forever.

I went to their Mid Valley beauty centre (they also have centres in Avenue K, D.U., Subang and Bangsar Villate II).
