I caught up with FaiTheMai for a quick chat and Guinness at Sid’s just now.
(Been avoiding blogging about Sid’s cos i was being selfish and wanted to keep the bar uncommercialised
But i realised my efforts are fruitless cos it’s damn crowded anyway -_-)
So we were talking about friends
And i said how i’ve accepted that friends come and go
Not that it’s anyone’s fault
It’s just lifestyles, interests and topics of conversations changing
Or more like, waning
It’s not like i have beef with those whom i’m not close to anymore…
and i hope they don’t have beef with me
i’ve learnt to accept that we all change in time -
the way we think
the people we hang out with
the places we go
the subjects that excite us
the music we like
the jobs we do
We choose to hang out and see certain people regularly because of how they make us feel and think
Some people can embrace it from my point of view
And others can’t
Some hold on and force it
And others let go and accept
Some take quicker to accept, and do so naturally
Others may push the friendship till they realise they’re the only one dancing the tango
There are so many situations to it
But what i’m saying is… accept and cherish
Even RowdyRudy and i had a talk about this a week back
That in time, we may not be as close as we are now
And gel so easily
We will change
We will want to party differently
He might still be rowdy
I might be become more reclusive
You never know
Of course there are still friends you can still let loose to
The ones you don’t see for months on end, then catch up for hours at a time when you do see them
We all have a handful of those
I guess what i’m saying is… that’s life

Just got back from Bangsar with QueenKanch.
Popped into sevendays boutique cos i heard from SmallSerena that new stock is in today.
RoxyRoze didn’t put the new stuff out yet, but she did layan and bring a few pieces out for me to see.
I ended up with way more than i expected to buy -_-
A black fringe dress!
A sleeveless top with exposed fluoro yellow zipper!
A sleek tube maxi dress!
A silk prussian top with huge white stars on it!
And my favourite…
A navy jumpsuit with exposed silver zipper.
It fits me perfectly.
“I can’t believe nobody bought this yet!” i exclaimed to her and promptly paid for everything.

10pm – Dropped by Attic for quick look at Fashionisette
11:30pm – Quattro soft launch at Avenue K

Club launches don’t really excite me anymore…
I got convinced to go by Kyan for work purposes – check out new entertainment places in KL and all.
As you can see from the sign, the club has four sections, each named after different seasons.
I agree with what KrazyKatKyan said, that at some points it seems a cross between Sanctuary + Cynna + Poppy
You have to take two flights of stairs up to the Winter section.
I heard someone cursing ‘lan chiau!’ damn loud when they saw the stairs to conquer.
I tell you… confirm damn a lot of mabuk people are going to fall down these staris.

They had this corrider which ‘rains’ every first 5 minutes of the hour and you can use brollies to cross it to the mall section.
A novelty thing, really.

So from what we gathered, Winter = house music, non-smoking area, much smaller than Autumn area
Autumn = the biggest area which plays R&B, full of drunkards and erm kinda ah beng crowd really
Spring = outdoor area with live band playing
Summer = ceiling deco constructed of random wood panels, wich dim lighting and music from Spring area blaring through, still damn loud and have to have my face a foot from Kyan’s across the table to have proper conversation
Spring area has aquariums implented into the bartop design.

1am – went to Poppy for Josh Wink (trust me. I don’t know how i managed this feat…)

It was a Tuborg event and they constructed a dancefloor that would light multi-colours throughout the night.
Ever since the incident of me being brutally honest at what a shitty launch they threw last year, i’ve never been invited to any Tuborg event ever again.

Likewise, i’ve never been inclined to go for one… till TaiYong convinced me to drop by.
Okay and i *was* already in the city.
I wish they did it on a Friday or Saturday though, cos i really couldn’t afford getting smashed tonight and dealing with work tomorrow. Or rather, in a few hours’ time -_-
Still, i could layan the music.
