I Cannot Tahan Wei

I cannot tahan ppl who talk big wei

Was standing next to some random guy
Who didn’t talk about anything that might pull
Or Interest typical ppl towards him
He was, perhaps, in our world (i say that term, because, yes, we sometimes get caught up in our own world of what’s important)
unintriguing
But i enjoyed talking to him

Then i got pulled to another after party
One of guys with full confidence
Impeccable English (which admittedly, i steer towards)

And you know what happened?

I walked away.

Cos.

I got damn sick and tired of hearing this guy talk bout himself and how much he’s doing for KL
And i get damn emo
Cos
If you’re dong so fucking much for KL
How come my friends (who are very much underground and know the genuine ppl underground) don’t know about what you’re doing?

Then he was dropping names and all that jazz
I didn’t say anything
I don’t think i need to say who i know or whom i’ve worked with

ARGH

I just cannot tahan ppl who talk big but don’t work to prove it

We RECOGNISE the ppl who work like shit and stay undercover

You, are just another rich man’s son who’s leeching off your family’s wealth, went for overseas education (good for you! I wish i had that!), came back, know your connections, have enough social intelligence to have you rubbing shoulders with the who’s who in KL, are trying to start some “business” (gawd, don’t you love these inverted commas) and talk big.

I cannot tahan wei.

I’m rolling my eyes to myself right now while i ignite what you look like.

So when i see you again, i’m not going within 4 feet of you.
Because i can’t be fucked talking to brats like you who think you’re all that.

Ok Fashion Week has been more tiring than i expected… running back and forth office and Gardens, interviews, and all the work i haven’t finished doing as well.

What people don’t know is when i’m too tired to talk or run around anymore, i want to pass out.

Which is what i did in the media room today :p
Just curled up on the sofa and konked for an hour before waking up for the 4pm show.
DidiBuli said i still had pillow marks on my face.

MIFA / MIFW

Some of us still refer to it as “MIFA” out of habit though on paper it really is MIFW

Yesterday was dead tiring for me.

Woke up at 6:30 am (after sleeping at 2 am!) to do some editing.
Made up and rushed to Mansion in KL for a Western Digital event
They’ve just launched the Caviar Colour series and got three ambassadors to represent the different colours
Jojo Struys for Caviar Green > less power consumption and energy-saving
Alex Yoong for Caviar Black > high performance and speed
and wee me for Caviar Blue > everyday user and reliability

The media launch started at 10am and finished at 12:30pm, but i had to be back at 2:30pm for the distributors launch

Thinking i’d be a bit mad, i made a dash for MIFW at Gardens, hoping to catch Jimmy Lim’s collection + AshleyTheMonkey’s jewelry with it
The moment i sat down in front of the runway, they announced Jimmy’s collection to go on and i thought, “Omg. Perfect!!!”

After all that traffic and headache of finding parking in Gardens, thank god i caught it!
William dragged me to introduce BryanBoy really quick
But i was a real mess cos of lack of sleep + kancheong-ing to get back to my other event in time
So i think i mumbled and blabbered nonsensically before running off

3-5 something pm: event

Then i dropped by the Nuffnang office for the first time to pick up some free stuff i just never did (cos i’m rarely in the area during office hours)

Reached home past 6pm and CRASHED
Didn’t hear my damn alarm clock
To wake me up for opening gala for MIFW
Had half the mind not to go cos my body was weeping
But Shan had saved me front row invite so it’d be terrible not to show up

“What’s everyone wearing?” i asked Kevin, who was getting tipsy on champers at the Melium party
“Dresses”
“MAN.”

I didn’t feel like wearing a dress so i simply pulled on a jacket to make it seem more, erm, formal of sorts

Show was long (as they all are)
I loved Key Ng’s new stuff
Still has his signature style, but more billowy and soft materials

After the show, we went to eat and i was STARVING cos i’d barely had time to eat all day
My fault really, i skipped the lunch WD provided to go catch MIFW -_-
Smart, Joyce.

BryanBoy wanted to eat local stuff, so VincePY, KinkyPugKevin, DanielHenry and i took him to Jln Alor
Ordered way too much
Btw Bryan’s damn skinny, but he ate the most!

What’s With The Blue?

Okay, don’t all iffy about colour coordination wtih me,
The reason the categories are temporarily blue is in conjunction with Western Digital’s Caviar Colour Series launch today.

3 colours differentiate 3 types of hard drives for various users.
Blue – for reliability and the everyday user. Perfect for home and office use.
Green – eco-friendly and uses less energy
Black – for high performance and speed

i’m representing the WD Blue Caviar, whereas Jojo Struys is representing the Green, and Alex Yoong for the Black.

I’m writing this as they’re running activities in the Black room. Each of the three ambassadors have a room set up to represent separate concepts and lifestyles.
So for me… i’m sitting at a desk right now in an ala bedroom set.

Last Sunday (damn it feels like DAYS ago but kononnya, just a couple of days 0_-) i had to go to Sky Bar for KLue Plus 5 in the evening.

Okay, wait, let’s start from morning.
Morning, i woke up like clockwork cos i’m so used to getting so little sleep i woke up at 8 am -_-
God knows why the DAY i can sleep in more, i wake up earlier than usual!
Forced myself to go back to sleep cos i really needed the rest (i’s so tired i was freaking hallucinating in the office last week!!!)

Woke up at 1pm, got ready and went to FoxyLisa’s place to see her little family
She brought back the harness i ordered from Norwegian Wood
And i think it’s good i went to pick it up
Else i’d never take the time to go see her!

Lil Claire is not so ‘lil anymore
She’s got this wicked Elmo toy which i want to buy for myself…

We placed the Elmo in front of Lil Claire to entertain her
*i* ended being enthralled by Elmo telling stories and asked how much it costs
The freaking Elmo costs RM350!

Went to Sky Bar before 5 pm (the event was 5-8pm) to chill before guests started arriving
I spotted something that looked strangely… kiddy… and very much… like a TENT!
With markers, childrens’ books, pillows and soft toys underneath!
I got so excited to go into it straight away, i almost crawled under the Sky Bar table to get to it cos chairs were blocking me
“Wait, Joyce, I’m moving the chair,” scolded SarChan as she saw me about to go under the table, “WAIT!”

I tell you, the moment i got into that tent, i was the happiest person in the whole hotel.
Screw the nice long dress i wore.
Acting like an adult flew out the window as i plopped myself down to bask in kiddy glory.

How nice it was so flip through children’s books withouth wary glares from kids or their parents
Cos i always have to shove at the kid’s section in Kinokuniya  :p

I thought they did a good job of the tent
But they could’ve have used colourful cloth to make the tent
Tsk, should have asked the Tent Experts that SpankyCammy and i am :xsilly:

But what undoubtedly gave that tent extra points was…

Aieee, i went on and on about the tent till i forgot to talk about the event >.<
Admitedly, i stayed in the tent alone for the longest time – resting on the pillows, sipping my drink and reading the Archies till Myra popped her head in and said we had to socialise :p

That event in Sky Bar was the first of KLue Plus 5, a monthly event where every guest we invite are from different industries and they have to invite 5 friends from their industry
Whether it be kickboxing, media, F&B, advertising, etc

It’s a pretty cool idea, built so that you’d meet individuals you wouldn’t usually meet outside your circle and party group
I did meet a few new ppl that day whom i plan to call out in the future to party with us :)

Quick Continuation

I’m actually quite sleepy now but thinking i’ll blog this before i absolutely lose semangat and never do it!

Okay but first,
Let me tell you about being a nice Samaritan to an alcoholic in need (god i’m so going to hell, if there is one, for this)
Not me being the nice Samaritan
But the one being layaned :)

After work, i was damn 7 tired
Cheated by texting a few random friends whether they’re at my neighbourhood bar

Success in numbers, they say
And one out of three replied

So i went there from work to have a couple of drinks before heading home
Come on.
Tiba-tiba (wah macam karangan ni) they stopped serving drinks while i was with Looney, Chee Kit, they all.
(hmm i remember them lying to me about Ah Yoong being called Andy -_- and i happily said ‘bye andy!’ when he left. to which they howled in laughter. fkers)

They closed the bar and honestly… i felt damn sad la.
I’d only been there 15 minutes and i have to go home?!
It was 12:45 am!
So i went up to this guy who’s ALWAYS there (and i assume is the owner) and asked really nicely whether our table could order an extra round cos i’d just finished work and it’s really sad i came here and only got pacified with one.
He went, “That IS a sad story…”

And we managed to order another round :xlaughing:

But see, right, he totally made my night.
Because considering i had two hours of chill-out time after work… i really needed that!

Okay back to event on Saturday :D
