I’m not someone who’s big on partying hard somewhere on New Year’s Eve
It’s always crowded, jammed, and basically the night – people who don’t usually party ALL go out to party.
No thanks.
I’m doing a family dinner (i know, another one!) then maybe Somo or somewhere close to home.

That’s because, you know how you see a particular sort of cloud

You have the small, light, fluffy ones
The gigantic, boisterous-like superwhite ones
Cumulus, they call them
The thin whispery ones
That spread out and thin out as it pleases
Like a patterned blanket
And they were all out in abundance today
Must be the spectacular sky
So every one wanted to come out to play
I felt like i was shrooming
It was so bright!
It made me so happy just looking up at it!
I also had to stop myself before i had an accident
Can you imagine:
“Cik, bagaimana kemalangan ni terjadi?”
“Er… i tengah tengok awan…”
In the middle of the day
I had to wait for someone for 5 minutes
And i didn’t mind!
Not a second!
I simply sat back in my car
And stared at the clouds

Like a snake that ate too big a cow and had to be comatose for a bit

I have a new habit where i’m constantly buying new scarves to tie over my basic tops
So instead of spending money buying new tops for choice of colour
Just buy scarves to tie around with accessories piled on top

Was smitten by these flat shoes from Moca the moment i saw them
They’re SO comfy, it’s like wearing socks to work

I seem to be veering towards flat shoes or boots now that i have no hair
But i really want a particular pair of boots…

Screw all my floral dresses and bring out the bad girl, i say.

Christmas Eve dinner was at Uncle Michael’s house:

Cheeky Chris. He’s damn heavy. I can barely carry him anymore.

I think it’s a Chinese thing to have siew yoke during Christmas…
I totally pigged out on Uncle Michael’s wild boar which he cooks himself
Even on the way to the house, i told Nick, “I hope there’s wild boar again… damn nice last year… *drools*”
Christmas Day dinner was at Aunty Gerry’s new house in Valencia:

i said it’s big enough for me to put my kiddy pool there.

We played roulette after dinner
‘Twas kinda funny, when i entered the game, the numbers 33 and 34 stood out to me
So i put my chip there and won
We didn’t play big money, just like 50 cents to a few bucks per person
I kept on counting my winnings by how many Guinnesses i could buy
“Yay i can buy three pints!”
Few minutes later, “Damn, i’m down to one and a half pints…”
By the end of the game i’d won roughly 5 pints worth and nobody wanted to play with me anymore

We went to Daiso, this new Japanese store above Borders and FOS

Went to CherubicCho’s house where i stuffed myself with turkey, greens (are good!), chicken, pate, and siew yoke.
I’m so impressed with Cho’s siew yoke which he made himself
It was fucking A
The skin was JUST nice and light and crispy
With slim layers of fat and lean meat
Augh… Pork orgasm!
At one point when everyone was checking out the renovations that have been done in another part of the house,
I sat at the dining table by myself and slowly relished eating piece after piece
Till i MADE myself take the plate to the kitchen else, i told Cho, “I’ll never stop!”
Jin’s head is bigger than mine
All the men were gambling and at one point,
I said i felt like it was Chinese New Year
Cos of the siew yoke, gambling and non-Christmas music -_-

Note to self as i rushed my last minute Christmas shopping yesterday – “NEVER DO THIS ON THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AGAIN. START IN NOVEMBER NEXT YEAR.”
I ate so much last night i had to lie down for an hour.

Went to my uncle’s house where about 25 relatives gathered to chow down on Christmas eve.
Wild boar stew, mashed potatoes, greens, salad, roast chicken, roast pork, noodles.
I had two rounds.
Then i fetched Aunty Gerry and Uncle Mark to her friend Aunty Pat’s house for dinner (round 2!)
I didn’t take so much of each dish…
Turkey, stuffing, rice, ham, trifle.
Augh… i could barely breathe nor walk straight when i left to go home to charge my phone.
Gonna leave for CherubicCho’s house for Christmas lunch now…
Then dinner is at Aunty Gerry’s new house, she’s already bought the turkey and parma ham and stuff.
So. Going. To. Gain. Christmas. Chubs.
If i put on weight, i’m going to look like those little chubby monk kids in Cantonese movies.
Thank God i can pig out insanely and my metabolic rate is not half bad *touch wood*
I don’t care! It’s Christmas! I wanna scoff down as much as i want and can!
