I thought i’d get sick for a day or two and it’d go away
But it just got worse on Saturday, with my whole body feeling sore even tho i did jack the day before
Took all my medication and resorted to painkillers someone pushed to me cos i found it painful to walk even
And i fell down twice. In the same stupid spot because there isn’t a bathroom mat there and the floor’s wet.
First time was in the morning when i slipped and banged one knee and a palm. “Are you okay?”
“Owwwwww, your floor’s wet and you don’t have a mat!!!” “Sorryyyy, does it hurt?” “Hmph,” i sniffed to myself
Second time was in the afternoon.
And i wasn’t even rushing, mind you.
I was slowly walking through the doors when i did yet another magnificent slip, and hit my head on the doorframe before banging both knees and bruising them on the floor.
It must have been a superb crash cos i heard shouting from the next room – “I have no idea what you’re going to tell me when i ask you what just happened!”
ARGHHHHHHHHH
Dahlah i was having fever, my body was sore, and now i had more injuries!
At times like that, i minused two decades off my actual age and wept like a 5-year-old.
He came to lift me off the floor and laughed at me.
The ass laughed at me as i was weeping in pain.
Cos i’m still awake even thought i’m quite tired from:
- walking around shopping all afternoon
Singaporean boutique people are so friendly! Or maybe just the ones of the stores we like.
We made friends and chatted to a few people, one even inviting us to his club night at Zirca, and others making willing conversation with us till DidiBuli (who has ADD) started spacing out. She said i did too but i don’t remember. Short-term memory mar. My Spoil-Myself buy was a well-preserved vintage bag with the most fascinating locks. Will post pic of it when i get back to KL.
- rushed to put our shopping down, change and went for dinner
- Ting Tings’ concert
i enjoyed myself SO much in the earlier half of the concert. Somehow the last song just didn’t do it for me… disappointment! But it was still so layan to watch them live. I heart.
- Clarke Quay
we walked around and i took some pictures like the tourist i am. Shamelessly.
- Zirca
Since we were around the area, we dropped by Zirca which was rather interesting. Will post pics la.
Kyan was describing this restaurant called The White Rabbit that sounded like an absolute charm to go to, so will be lunching there tomorrow!
That’s how i always feel when i travel
Even though Singapore ain’t that far away,
I just had such a pleasurable time sitting in the (immaculately clean) back alley
Laying my head back on a Chinese-style marble bench
And staring up at the moon (which is as brilliant tonight, as it was yesterday)
Three of us rushed like CRAZY and caught our bus just in the nick of time
I think this is the first time i’m taking the bus down to Sg since college days
When i went down for the art and design exhibition
Wait
I took a train down then
Damn, i don’t think i’ve taken a bus down to Sg before
0_o
Surprisingly the bus had quite a lot of cemerlang movies to watch
And i went for About A Boy (since i’ve never watched it and SarChan claimed it sweet)
Both of us spent half the trip sleeping, and the other half watching TV
Whereas DidiBuli spent the entire trip watching TV cos: “There’s one thing i love more than sleeping, and that’s TV!”
Well, she’s fast asleep now while SarChan and i are working
Just want to get this over with so we don’t have to worry about it tomorrow
Gonna have dinner with KrazyKatKyan and JustinYap at Flute At The Fort before the concert
Been a bit of a bad blogger cos i’ve been more… preoccupied of late
I’m crazy excited about going to Singapore to catch The Ting Tings LIVE on Tuesday with SarChan and DidiBuli!
And shop!
Will be utterly fab.
I cleaned out my car today, with the help of the ManOfTheMo
Not because he’s insanely anal about tidiness (which is the opposite of me)
But because it’s due for service
I arranged all my shoes at the back of my boot and he stared at them “Seriously. I’m afraid to see how many pairs you have at home. There are more shoes in your car than my brothers and me combined!”
We spread all my junk (okay, yes. My car is THAT messy) on the ground in his driveway
And sorted what to keep and what to recycle – paper and plastic
I found an old packet of Thai coffee that i meant to give AishozCravesCoffee and never did -.-
And a bottle of Ribena from an event (which i didn’t even know was in the car :p)
He recycled that by pouring it onto his plants as fertilizer
I stood in the garden and watched him sprinkle and splash everything unto the soil where some palms grew
He turned around to see me watching on, “You think i’m weird right…” “No, i think it’s cool.”
And i do think it’s cool
I used to only recycle when i clean my room and stuff in the office
And his meticulous process of recycling EVERYTHING is rubbing off on me marvelously
Cos not all our videos are as clear as this
Maybe when my boss reads this he will buy us a mike

Speaking of TiC, i’ll be giving a short speech at Youth ’09 – Malaysia’s Largest Lifestyle Youth Festival – this Saturday at PWTC on Lifestyle Entrepreneurship. Not sure who the other speakers are, i just know i’m speaking after Joe.
Was just looking at the email stating the dresscode as “formal/business wear”
