I wish i had a 5 cent face

DreamerCyn cooked TigerJoe and i dinner yesterday for my birthday
And her doggies have such a 5-cent-face you just want to pick them up and feed them all the time

They’re both different doggies by the way
We watched Marley and Me on DVD after that
And i think tears streamed down my face for 5 minutes non-stop okay >.<

I HATE watching movies with Joe and Cyn cos they’re the kind who cannot shut up about movie details!
Happened in the cinema before
And happened again last night

Joe: I heard that in the end, *bla bla bla*
Cyn: No la, i read the book, and actually *bla bla bla*
Me: Guys please, can you NOT say what’s gonna happen?!
Both of them: *continues*
Me: GUYS COME ONNNN!!!!

Dinner was superfab and yummy!

Earlier yesterady, TigerJoe lured me to teman him buy a modem at Low Yat by taking me for some awesome beef ball noodles at Petaling Street

Since we were going to Low Yat (zZzzz), i said we could pop over to Sungai Wang for a while
He spotted the envirosax shopping bag rolled up in my handbag

“Why did you bring your shopping bag? -_-”
“Cos urm, you know, in case i buy something… or for you to carry the modem you get,” i quickly insert, glad that his environmental-friendliness would get the better of him.
“Right…”

Hmm don’t think he believed me.

I did shop, but not that much, just bought 2 things – a pair of mercury-tinted Ray-Bans on 40% sale, and some crazy scarf (cos i like, so totally need another one *cough*)

Hmm interesting, i wanted to link the Envirosax bag cos i bought them from Tiny Tapir and found that all references of them are taken down left with this message:

Suddenly, out of the blue in March 2009, we get a call from a Malaysian party who very rudely told us to “take down any reference to your being distributor for Envirosax as we are the new Malaysian distributor”.

You can imagine our shock!  After all the energy that Tiny Tapir put into marketing the Envirosax and making the Envirosax brand known here in Malaysia – before we did so, no one here had heard of Envirosax.  Because of Tiny Tapir, Envirosax was featured in the Star newspaper 3 times last year, appeared on NTV7 and was even photographed with our First Lady.

And why did Mark (one of the Envirosax co-founders) go behind our back and sneakily sign with another Malaysian party (who we will not say are innocent, seeing as he clearly admitted he only started talking to Mark middle of last year after we’d been distributing the Envirosax for some time) for the Malaysian distributorship?

It’s a mystery unknown to us – but we can only suspect that he did not like that we sell other brands of reusable bags.  Instead of discussing this with us of course, he pettily decides to just bypass Tiny Tapir completely.

Well, Mark. Wake up and sell the roses – we don’t live in a world where Monopolists are viewed favorably, and I for one am not going to support a company whose owner has no clue what ethics, morality or common decency are about – it’s completely contrary to living by Eco-friendly, green standards where sharing ideas and methods (and not just chasing the almightly dollar) is the only way to create a better world.

Envirosax is obviously merely concerned about chasing profits and not about the ideals we at Tiny Tapir wish to support – fair trade, sustainable and responsible living.”

Something a bit off yesterday

You know one of those days where everything seems to fuck up  a bit more than usual?
And all those little fuck ups make you want to tear your hair out and scream?

Yesterday was one of those days for me -_-

Long story short, i accidentally got myself locked in the house
I left the house keys in the car, and i had the car keys…
But how was i to get to the car if i didn’t have the house keys to open the door
*slaps forehead ala homer simpson moment*

When i finally got out, it was damn jam thanks to prayer time and school being let out
Jam jam jam

And people were driving like CRAP yesterday
People running red lights, signaling the WRONG side when switching lanes, wtf!!!

When i reached office, i had to park damn far from the lift
Walked to lift
When i reached the lift, i realised i forgot my food in the car -_-
And had to walk back to get it

In the lift, about four ppl came in after me and pressed 4 other floors before mine
Kinda unexpected seeing my office is only on the 6th floor

BY THE TIME i reached office, i had TEN minutes to edit some things quickly before running out for an event which i had to attend

By the time i reached back, my food was cold and i only ate one third cos i was so busy

Went for the Gardens’ Fashion Show
And i actually had fun phew

Left at the after party at 11:30 pm

Went home
Supposed to watch DVD with TigerJoe
But passed out by 1am cos i was too knackered

Colourizing Langkawi

Last year, DarlingDhanya won the Female 50 Gorgeous People finals
And with it she also won 3 nights stay at Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort

Since she doesn’t have a man to go with right now,
and her parents didn’t want the holiday,
who else better for her to go with than with some gfs

Seize opportunity of free stay in nice chalet over the sea, i say!

We had a spacious balcony that constantly had the tide going up and down
making wonderful splashy sounds all day and night

The room was really nice
they upgraded us to a nicer chalet which could fit four of us in there comfortably

Went to the Oriental Village to buy mixers, chocs, maggi cup and beer
I’d never say no to Duty Free alco
If you’re wondering why we’re buying maggi cup on holiday…
That’s cos the hotel food sucked so bad
Which was really horrible
Cos when we’re on holiday, we’d like to eat yummy stuff as and when we want
I tried room service, food by the pool, bleah
Chicken rice, burgers, sandwiches, all so disappointing for hotel food!
Only breakfast was decent -_-

As usual, i lugged a huge bag of scarves, accessories and toys to dress up the room fairy style

Most of the scarves you see in the pictures are bought from Lah’Lah’Land

We kept on giggling cos BogeyTheGiraffe looked like he was layaning everything we said

The other chalets outside
and how Chalet Madness looks

Aps and i went on a ‘mission’
but we lost the plot halfway
i had my superpower fairy wand
she had a string of yellow beads

um… so yeah we did kinda look like two crazies traipsing around

I wanted to sit in a bubble bath in my bikini

And got shrieks of laughter when i unknowingly walked out
leaving a trail of bubbles

Because food was so bad at the hotel,
we’d take an RM28 (one-way) taxi ride out for dinner every night

Yes we LOVE FOOD

I used Biotherm Aqua Source and sprayed on new Estee Lauder Pure White Linen on holiday
(Both are sponsored, but both are mentioned cos i really like them)

We spent most of our time lazing on the beach
Reading, talking, basking in the sun, dipping in the sea

Sunday night we went to Sheela’s Restaurant and Cafe (at Pantai Tengah)
recommended to us by someone

The food was ok (but anything is better than the hotel food)
and we met Sheela who chatted to us and she’s soooo friendly and interesting to listen to
Summary: She married a German whom she met in Berlin, and she used to live in Germany which she still loves
Restaurant has been open for 17 years and she wants to open chalets behind it in a couple of years time
Has a son who’s an interior designer in KL

Yeah, she spoke a lot, but she exuded warmth so!

Langkawi + Back For Birthday

I took off to Langkawi last Friday with DarlingDhanya, Aps and DD’s sister Deepak
Stayed at a very gorgeous chalet over the sea at Berjaya Resort
(will post pics tonight)

Had a nice birthday yesterday
Was planning to have a big party this Sat with RowdyRudy
But canceling it due the very unfortunate death of RR’s aunt
Doesn’t matter
There are so much bigger things than parties when things like this happen

Had a last minute get together at Jarrod & Rawlins in Damansara

Whizzing to Kuantan

BMW lent me their Mini Cooper for a long weekend recently

so i took the opportunity to drive it to Kuantan
which is one of my favourite road trips
cos the drive there is fairly easy
with highway that stretches out
curves languidly
and has lots of green scenery and minimal billboards!

Loved driving the car (to own car: but i love you more! i promise!)
Even before Kuantan i managed to take it out for a couple of events
and was so nice zooming about in it 

i love the sun
TigerJoe hates the sun (cos he loves his tattoos too much)
hence covering up kao kao -_-

Seriously, the only other person i know who covers up so much at the beach is DatinTini

I managed to shop in Kuantan when i stumbled into this bundle shop in the crappy mall there

So glad i bought this authentic vintage Mickey Mouse bomber jacket
*dusts it off before hugging it*

Breakfast at 3pm on Sunday

Ethan took us bundle shopping!
The moment i stepped in there i went HEE HEE HEE and couldn’t concentrate on anything Sarah was saying to me

But really have to hunt la that one
I got a belt, 8 tops and a dress for under RM30

A boutique + salon called Birth

We went to another one called That’s Cafe
That also has a boutique + salon + cafe concept

We bought DVDs (RM4 for one!)
So i got Dirty Sexy Money and True Blood, along with 13 other movies
Can’t wait to start watching it while sipping on wine and nibbling smoked salmon

Went to some gudang garam place at night where ppl sold the most random things

We reached back in KL at 2:15 am

And died waking up for work on Monday
