I guess partying for 4 nights in a row really got to me!
My throat started hurting when i went to sleep last night,
and by noon today,
i spoke like a full-blown man.
I had 3 meetings lined up back-to-back this afternoon,
but rescheduled them all.
No choice la.
I can’t even talk to myself without hurting,
let alone talk to people.
Been camping out with all my medication next to me,
lots of water,
and geeking out on the first season of Fringe.
I’m loving it so far!
Didn’t get recommended it by friends,
I’s just browsing in the dvd store one day,
read the synopsis that it’s about paranormal activity,
and my old attraction to subjects that walk just outside the border of science reignited.
I think if you liked the X-Files in the early 90s,
you should give this a shot.
Warning: It’s continuous so you don’t wanna stop watching.
Oh, and did i mention i love having lots of pei cough mixture given to me?
I’m seeing the doctor again on Thursday reg. the skin condition on my arm.
I wonder whether he’d be suspicious if i asked for another bottle >.<

“No… i’ve been partying non-stop!”
Now when i have time to party…
i just realised i DO still have the energy to go at it!
Previously, it’s because of all the long hours that i always got too tired to go out ha ha!

so we snapped a picture with her cos we were both wearing our new Chris Kane x Topshop stuff

someplace far from KL!
I think i was the only local there…
everyone else was from Africa, France, UK…
And they all expressed surprise that i was from KL
I had a beer, and some African dude asked for my number.
I didn’t mind giving it, but said, “You can call me to hang out, but not for sex.”
And someone started laughing at me.

Went for the Absolut event on Thursday,
and the Giuseppe one right after.
Initially i was regretting promising to go to the events,
cos it was gonna storm,
and i felt SO LAZY!
But so glad i did, cos lots of cool things happened that night!

Went to the Giuseppe Zanotti event at Pulse, Grand Milennium after that
It was a party just to party!
And because the designer himself was in KL.
He looked mad ready to party – in a flashy white suit and Nikes!
At one point, he was standing next to me while we got more bubbly,
and i turned to him, introduced myself and said, “I just want to say hi! Don’t worry, i’m not gonna bug you for a picture or anything!”
He was really charming and clasped my hands in his when we met,
then i went back to getting my champers.
Out of the corner of my eye,
i saw him whip out a marker,
and sign an ashtray,
so i figured it’s for someone who asked for it.
Then he came over, kissed me on both cheeks,
and gave it to me and i started laughing.
“You do know now i have to steal the ashtray right… which I WILL!”

Have checked out flight tix and they’re only rm260 return…
So… i can party on Friday, fly back on Saturday
and recover in time for my grandmother’s birthday dinner on Sunday.

… Designed for Sports, Crafted for Life at the Mid Valley outlet earlier this week!
Tongue in Chic readers were asked to send in Polyvores with Nike items implemented
whereby 15 winners (+ 1 friend each) were allowed to attend the event where MaintainMing presented and styled everyone!
It was a closed-door event,
and right at the entrance was a huge table
laden with colourful accessories and edited Nike gear
SO colourful!
It looked like Nike celebrating Christmas on crack!
It was all prepared by superstar fashion stylist + hairstylist Ming
Nike Marketing Manager Mena making an introduction,
before MaintainMing presented how you can alter your Nike clothes
His work really blew me away la,
he did loads of stuff i would never in a billion years would have thought of!
Silver rope sewn on to replace sleeves…
Blue feathers sewn on top of Nike hoodie,
and cartoon patchwork sewn on back…
Metal chain fringe sewn all around hoodie…
DidiBuli almost had a heart attack when this came out
Detachable shoulder pads + chains,
inner layer of hoodie replaced with shiny blue materiel…
Metal eyelets inserted into pants,
with chains hooked thru them.
Can anyone say fierce with me?!

It’s damn nice up close as well
Fringe added to back of Nike shoes,
and sequins on the swoosh…
During the whole presentation,
SarChan, Didi and i were like, “Gaspppp, want want want!”
and would look at Mena going, “Can we have it plssss!”
I chupped a hoodie with feather fringe (not the mohawk one, i already a real one ha ha)
and the eyelet pants with chains
All the readers were then allowed to play with EVERYTHING there,
style themselves, get pictures taken,
with best 3 pictures winning products from Nike!

When i was 14 i wore bicycle pants (which is back in fashion thanks to Alex Wang)
and big T-shirts (also back in fashion -_- showing my age wei)
went to the playground every day to climb everything,
played street hockey,
and read Enid Blyton and Sweet Valley High!
I didn’t have high heels,
get to go out to events like these,
or a blog even.

I was in a rut.
So i called someone who could help me cos only she would understand – ClaudiaOnCrack!

“I’m in Topshop, and i can’t decide between the croc shirt, and the eyelet leggings..!”
Christopher Kane for Topshop collection made its debut in Malaysia today (only in Pavilion outlet)
and ClaudiaOnCrack managed to get there by 12pm, crazy!
I got there around 1:30 pm and was allowing myself only one item.
The croc shirt is memang iconic in the collection,
but after awhile, it IS just a shirt and only those who know it will know it costs RM282
I went with the leggings in the end!
I tweeted about the leggings earlier this month,
and felt it was meant to be when word got out the coll was being brought to Msia.
Isn’t it UTTER LOVE?!

i tweeted how i was RM410 poorer after buying them,
and NurMeiLing sarcastically replied: tights for how much!!?!?!?!? holy crap. why yes. excellent purchase on 1st day of unemployment!
i said they were an investment. and how i got free parking

A few people have asked me – “How do you feel?” – as my last day of work draws nearer (it’s tomorrow!)
“Excited!” i’d exclaim back
I AM excited!
There’s so many things i want to get done and organize which i never had the time for
And now i shall!
I wanna go by Aps’ kindergarten and watch her teach kids while i assist
I wanna go to the stables with Dhanya to feed carrots to her horse (she started riding recently!)
I need to organise my entire wardrobe and let go of things i don’t wear anymore
I’m going to start going to the gym more regularly than the pathetic pace i’ve been at
I want to go through the 10 books i bought from the sale at KLCC last month
