Why I Can’t Scold Ppl Drunkardly
When i went out to Barsonic last Friday,
the feeling of being out again made me all pumped up,
and indulging in infamous Barsonic long island tea got me
hugging people
clapping along to songs
singing along
and bopping like a boat
In the lift at Hotel Maya,
some guy stepped in and the lift buzzed,
so i said he’s overweight or something like that and that he should get out.
He went, “Joyce?”
And i was like “ERRRR” then the lift door shut
Suddenly i get a message on Facebook from him:
dumbo joyce … !!! scold me in maya hotel car park lift sumore!!! GRRR!!! >:(
LOL!!! SORRY! was drunk!!!
haha that was funny!
erm what did i scold you about anyway?!
ARGH SORRYYYY!!!
still laughing about it 
Stupid or something or overweight I think.. Lols cuz the lift went “taaaat” -.-”

For Goodness Sake
I was woken up with a phone call from AshleyTheMonkey on Friday
“Hey, wanna go for lunch at Bangsar Village?”
“Man, i can’t… i have a lunch meeting, who you going with?”
“Brian, Fai, Aps, bla bla bla”
“Ha? What’s going on? A party?”
“What’s wrong with you? You high or what?”
Sleeping la!
And since when can so many of you all meet up so slumber for lunch on a Friday!
I happened to bump into them at For Goodness Sake (where i was having lunch with Tong
Saw Ash, BrianMak, FaiTheMai, Aps, Olivia, JP and some others too.
And still wondered WHY everyone was so free suddenly.
Only realised at 5pm it was a public holiday -_-
And there i was thinking the Universe loved me,
cos the roads were so clear when i had to rush home during peak hour.
… No, i’m kidding!
I KNOW the Universe loves me!
Unjinx unjinx unjinx!
Had lunch with Tong at For Goodness Saké,
a new Jap restaurant we walked past on the top floor at BV2.
I had the grilled saba and salmon sashimi
Saba > good and reasonable!
Sashimi > ok la, didn’t seem super fresh/cold to me
Bumped into Marvin who later smsed me:
“Order the deepfried maki with chilli inside and the spinach with the black sesame”
So guess i’ll give that a shot next time i’m there, i like the atmosphere!

Followed Tong back to H5,
and got suckered into buying a Hype Means Nothing tee
The series of Ts from Colette are a collaboration between Hype Means Nothing x various celebs
paying homage to various Ray-Ban designs over the years

Andy Warhol, Mickey Mouse
I ended up choosing the Hype Means Nothing x Andy Warhol one in black

Then went to get my nails done (randomly chose KukuBar)
and picked a nude shade.

And everyone knows how much i heart Barco.
Another half-reason i got that colour
is cos i always get superbright colours…
and i thought i’d get something more, erm, mature,
as to not scare off this man i’m dating.
Just now, he told me he didn’t like it,
and preferred my toenails (which is sky blue).
I guess i should just stick to being colourful me,
and let him like me for it, weirdness and all.

Went to Barsonic last night to show someone what indie + electro music is like.
Had a BLAST dancing like mad with SarChan!
It’s been too long! (I haven’t gone there since December!)
I was so happy!

Went to the recycling centre at Ikano just now to drop off so much plastic and paper,
the back of my car could only fit one person last night -_-
Told Daddy how i want to put boxes for plastic and paper in the kitchen so that we’ll recycle more religiously.
Of recent, i’ve only been recycling rubbish that i throw in my room and other stuff.
“I’ll go to the centre once or twice a week to drop everything off,” i said.
He made a funny face.
“What kinda face is that?!”
“… Skepticism.”
“Oi! Have some hope in me!”

FaiTheMai’s birthday today
So going over for his birthday bbq later with
a crate of beer,
a present from H5 (i think it’s the first time in the 6 years i’ve known him that i’m giving him a bday gift
and a date in tow 
Throughout my 20s, i’ve always divided up my life into segments depending on work and relationships.
I think… a new segment is starting.
I’m over the moon. But i’m just gonna keep mum for now cos i don’t wanna jinx it -_-

i got called a Closet Emo cos Ariens aren’t supposed to be keterlaluan emo as Cancerians or Pisceans
Went to get my Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil sharpened (i accidentally broke it again today -_- ISH)
Bought some Clinique loose powder (cos Milcah said it’s good and not as ex as other brands)
Watched Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief which was so-so
Not something i’d choose to watch in the cinema
but there was nothing else except chinese movies or stuff i’d already seen
After movie,
met KinkyPugKevin and LiMei at Zouk Cafe… again.
A bit deja vu la.
Like how last time on weekends we’d end up in Zouk three nights in a row at a time and feel so lame/nowhere else to go!
And then now the same with the cafe!
I like the inside area better than where MingDaBomb and i sat in the afternoon tho

Last week, Deep and i took a drive to Kuala Kubu Baru,
for Antares‘ little gathering to celebrate his life (cos he fell ill end of last year).
Thankfully he returned to our world from his coma
and according to him, his friend went into the astral world to find
Antares sitting on a rock, in a sarong, having a cup of tea
I love seeing Antares and listening to him talk…
i always feel like a little kid again.
There were heaps of puppies in the compound,
nibbling,
biting,
trotting about.
I tried my best not to step on a puppy or village kid at night cos i couldn’t see anything in the dark!
Antares on the right, talking to a puppy that didn’t look too well.
Madeline was there too,
and i remember her holding the puppy on the mushroom going,
“Look! Take picture! You’ll be femes!”
After eating, everyone just chilled on the patio,
or the garden.
I spent some time playing pretend with Sharon,
while lying on the grass and looking up at the many stars.
Deep and i spent the night at Bamboo Palace,
where we’d stayed previously.
It’s really basic so i wouldn’t drag my diva friends there
I had to use a torchlight to go to the bathroom at night
Woke up the next morning to 5 pairs of little eyes peeping at me.
‘Twas the village kids.
I was so sleepy lazy i continued sleeping
When i woke up, i purposely played Karen O & The Kids,
thinking they would probably like the sound of All is Love or Capsize
and one of them started yelling along to it, trying to get the tune,
so cute!
After breakfast i did NOTHING but lie in a hammock
feel the breeze
let my thoughts float
and hear the leaves rustling
Flipped through this book about how aliens are responsible for the evolution of mankind in the past 2,000 years
Antares playing the guitar and singing.
I LOVE his lyrics… they’re funny, sometimes political, always radical, funny, and they rhyme
A little Buddha figurine someone found randomly in the garden
So it got placed on the table
Spent the afternoon in the river
doing nothing
chilling
thinking
bonding with nature
Look how massive the brown leaf is compared to my foot!
I was deeply fascinated by this seedling (according to Deep, it is)
I just pretended it was some fairy cloak.
So many pix 0_o
Streamyx is doing pretty good for me these days,
but can’t wait for their new 15mbps fiber optic service,
supposed to be all up by March 2010.
Anyway, digressed!
When i got back to KL,
i went for dinner with my Lovelies and met Lauren who’s now based in KL.
DarlingDhanya was telling us how many instruments she plays:
“Violin, piano, guitar, cello, flute…”
Me: Great… i feel so useless. The most productive thing i did today was shred a leaf into tiny pieces and watch it float down a river… -_-

It just hit me that exactly SIX YEARS AGO, i wrote my first blogpost HAHA!

Just spent some time reading through my archives,
and i realise how much i love this blog.
It has all my memories of me going through college,
parties and raves (now dragging me out to a club is a bit hard :p),
incessant drinking (hmm that hasn’t stopped),
friends i used to be close to, friends that i’m still close to,
boyfriends and all the stupid funny things we’d do with each other,
increase in holidays as i slowly managed to earn more money ,
and other pinnacle moments in my life (heartbreak, my dog Steven passing away),
as well as working my way up from 2004:
photographer > writer > freelancer > managing editor > blogger (!)
