Yishyene came up with some pet project – to take pictures of me squatting everywhere.
She’s got quite an impressive collection so far -_-
But i’m not posting it up here, that’s for sure.

Even though i’m on soddof a shopping ban,
i couldn’t help going to see.
JUST SEE you know.
And plus, they had a different concept so i was curious on how it would be like.

It took place at Nomad Residences in Bangsar,
and was nicely done.

Basically their idea is to let girls come in groups with their friends,
and spend as long as they like there – trying on things, do some weekend shopping without crowds, eat snacks that are laid out, and lots of drinks i.e. ice lemon tea, beer, alcoooo.

I didn’t take lots of pictures cos i was a bit shy of intruding on people’s private shopping time 
Secret Shopper brings in lots of really sweet items from brands we can’t get here,
and they get everyone to fill in a form with their sizes and type of style preferred so they really buy things with every customer in mind!

My shopping ban tak jadi,
cos i saw this nice striped B&W skirt from H&M for RM79 (ok wut, quite cheap!)

Even tho i went early Saturday afternoon to try to spot out stuff before others went,
there were like 15 girls who went earlier than me and grabbed some funky stuff first!
Like these colourful pants Andrea got.
Was eyeing it like anything but she obviously bought it in the end.
Damn you Andreaaaa *waves fairy fist*

The only part i spaced out was when there were a few minutes of football jokes.
I’m sure most of the women in the audience spaced out too :p

But my FAVOURITE was the caning he got when he was a kid,
i could so relate to it! 
I’m sure many Malaysian kids can too…
the acting was superb and it was just like something i used to do, kinda, just that i wasn’t acting then.

I think i hid the cane from my mom once.
And oh of course i got into more trouble after that.

I’ve been trying to keep positive lately,
so that things will start happening for me.
I know it sounds weird, but i was trying to think back to what i was like as a person when i was happily busy with work,
and it wasn’t difficult to pinpoint that i just plain didn’t worry,
went with the flow,
and things would keep coming.

Someone once told me that one’s biggest sin is to worry,
because why on earth should we worry,
when we have the greatest gift of life – just BEING on earth,
experiencing everything that we explore.

So i tried to stop worrying.
And it’s hard to not worry when you CAN’T HELP worrying sometimes…

What i can say is that i’m happy i can stop worrying a bit faster than others (i think)
and i know of some friends who worry and worry a lot,
and i DO feel awfully sorry for them.
Cos once you’re stuck in a worry rut,
i have seen how difficult it is for them to climb out of it.

I’ve still been a bit cuckoo (hyper and happy one minute, feeling for no utter reason like slapping someone anyone the next, and i would like to blame the pill but apparently since i’m already paying RM55 for Yasmin which is apparently the best with no side effects, i can’t blame it either -_-)
I calmed down more last week,
tried to busy my self with things,
and suddenly work started coming in from all sorts of avenues.

So i’m really happy about that.
I feel i have PURPOSE when i wake up every morning,
and have more than enough work on my plate right now causing me to run around every day for meetings and staying in front of the pc for ages,
but i love and miss that adrenaline and am glad i have something called deadlines again.

I know right, i love deadlines.
I love that feeling of OH GOD I HAVE TO FINISH IT
and that sensation of going to sleep while hyper on coffee + accomplishment it’s done at some ridiculous hour in the morning.

Uncle Mark + Aunty Gerry took me to watch The War Horse

It’s SO good and so sad…
I can’t believe Uncle Mark didn’t cry :p

Went for seafood dinner at J. Sheekey after the show.
And THAT WAS SO GOOD AS WELL.
I had oysters and lobster,
but also ended up stealing Uncle Mark’s Cornish stew.
It reminded me of bouillabaisse, which i love, and am plotting to learn to cook!

Ate and ate,
savoured the food,
sat back,
sighed,
and thought to myself,
“How am i going to return to a normal life without food like this in KL…”

I caved in to letting Clem have what he wanted,
since i ate what i wanted for lunch yesterday (Rakuzen)

Went to the bank, dropped by Baci to pick up some clothes (they’ve got lots of new shorts and floral tops in!)

I’m slightly apprehensive of my own willpower when i’m in London…
i’m so afraid i’ll overshop (but when is the time to stop?)

Had to empty this large suitcase (filled with clothes i don’t wear anymore/intend to sell
cos there isn’t enough space in my room) cos i need it to pack for UK.

Clem asked me whether i want some space to keep clothes at his place
(but i hate having some things here, and some things there when i accessorize)
Him: How much space do you need?
Me: The entire room *waves arms along all sides of walls*

I’m gonna have to deal with this lack-of-space thing when i come back…
We said that if things are still going well early next year,
we’ll move in together.

And my only condition is that i get 1 and a half rooms for all my clothes/shoes/accs.

Watched some movies on the 40 hours i’ve spent on the plane in the past week:
The Boys Are Back (cried), The Box, The Young Victoria (cried), Leap Year, The Lovely Bones, Avatar (again),
and urm can’t remember what else right now.
Personally really fancied the ones i cried watching :p
And The Lovely Bones for its trippy beautiful other world scenery.

Landed in KL last night, and spent the rest of the night in resting and catching up with Clem 
We watched old Disney cartoons, ate Maggi asam laksa flavour and i couldn’t be happier!

Rushing this weekend to get some last minute things (Yishyene wants me to get her that Super Rings snack -_-)

before my flight to London late Sunday night.

The weather has been two extremes every day in KL
Early half of the day will be FREAKING HOT (today the temp outside my car in Bangsar was 41°C!)
Then at about 3pm it’ll start storming to the point i’m apprehensive about driving

Been in a mad rush to get things done before my big trip of the year!
Thought Spain was my ‘big trip of the year’, but i guess not!

Running all these errands like
getting my road tax done,
getting new glasses made (lost my old ones, got new balenciagas and my power has gone up anyway),
changing currencies to USD, euros and pounds,
sending dry cleaning,
picking up my US visa (10 years! yay!)

Also a busy weekend as i’ll be hosting the Hanger event at Luna tonight,
and the pole-dancing charity event tomorrow.

I’ll be flying to New York this Sunday night thanks to HP!
They’re sending me for the SATC 2 premiere!
I’m SO lucky i know!
The only other person they’re sending besides me is Ivy, editor at The Star,
so i feel really really fortunate that i’ve been invited as a blogger 

I LOVE SEX AND THE CITY!

And who knew it’d be possible for me to attend its premiere in NYC!
Arghhhhh supersexcited!!

2nd thing i’m excited about is meeting Tim Gunn (from Project Runway)
I had to contain my squeals when they showed me my schedule over a lunch meeting just now
(ok so i didn’t contain my squeals. i squealed. in public.)

3rd thing i’m excited about are the museums and shopping!

After NYC, i come back to KL for 2 days,
then i fly off to London for 6 weeks!
In the middle, i’ll be going to the Isle of Wight fest, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and maybe Prague (haven’t bought tix yet)
Out of London, i only know friends in Copenhagen,
so i’ll be winging the other places alone and ber-adventure sendiri!

I’ve been wanting to do summer in Europe for years…
but never had the money / time.
And now it’s finally happening…
In a way i’m not feeling it yet, cos it still seems a bit surreal.

But i’m sure that’s to stop when i have to pack.
‘Tis gonna be a fashion challenge to fit outfits for 6 weeks,
and still have space for shopping (i’m bound to do)

So now you know… for the next 2 months,
this blog will be all about NYC and EUROPE baby!
