So far we’ve only made 1 piece… that i’m wearing.

We had so much fun!
It’s been awhile since we played
and we went with a 90s theme and threw in songs like
Gangsta’s Paradise, Ace of Base, Brimful of Asha,
Blondie, Run DMC, etc.

(the set is never long enough!)

the shortbread cookies were scoffed by my team in 3 hours.

I bought a shrieking chicken from a wandering old man,
and hid it in the store room till it was ‘the right time’ to press it behind Clem.
Finally did it last weekend while he was doing the dishes, he almost broke a plate.
I should have taken a video of his reaction.

Besides shrieking chicken, initially spotted a glowing bunny which i got for RM20.
Have dubbed her the Magic Glowing Bunny Esmerelda which all the animals are currently worshipping.

I never intended to expand my tiny zoo…
but it seems to be happening quite rapidly, according to a panicked Clem.
He asked for my zoo to be kept in a drawer.
I refused, saying they can’t possibly breathe in there.

HIDE MY ZOO?!
Why?!

I will SHOW IT OFF more like it!

Singapore GPSS – Avalon At Large

Thanks to Singapore Tourism Board for flying me down last weekend
to party during the Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix weekend!
MisDeeds came along with me.

Didi and i checked into Gallery Hotel and got ready for our Friday night out there,
we stayed till Monday.
There were so many people who flew in from Malaysia, Australia, etc,
the buzz in the city was obvious as heck!

We checked out the new Avalon club at Marina Bay Sands,
which is under the same Avalon brand that is no stranger to celebs like Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher.
The glass and steel structure covers 12,000 square feet
and features state-of-the-art sound, light and visual systems.

I wore a silk dress and wire skirt (i love ittttt!) from Gallo by Thian’s AW11 collection.
Accessories from Justin Yap and thirtyfour.
Gold watch from Nooka.

Alcohol at SG events are expensive – S$15 a drink!
I discovered that it’s more economically viable to order tequila shots in place of a drink+mixer. 

Ludacris!
Ok some people (like MELISSA) thought it out of ordinary that i’d like Ludacris
(seeing i had little enthusiasm when watching Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z in UK last year)
but Ludacris was out when i was in college
AKA the times when i used to party to R&B and hip hop.
I FELT SO LUCKY to watch him live!

The Bloody Beetroots were AWESOME!
I saw them in Zouk SG one time but it was too crowded to dance properly.
This time i danced, jumped and skipped the whole time through!

Went outside and bumped into Zhou Ping,
my old college friend, and her buddies.

Then i stumbled around looking for Didi…
And bumped into more peeps from KL

I even walked all the way back to Avalon club
and got told by the bouncer i JUST missed the whole group of Sa and Nadia leaving.
Couldn’t get through ANY of their phones -_-
Looked at the time and saw it was 4:30am
(i LOVE HOW SINGAPORE PARTIES TILL LATE)
and thought, daymn what am i doing?
Maybe Didi’s already BACK at the hotel..!

Bumped into Johan and Charmaine
who were really nice to make sure i got into a taxi safely.
Then i went home to find… Didi snuggled up in her bed.

“You’re alive!” i shouted.
She thought i was passed out somewhere in my own vomit.
Hello… i’m 28 ok.
Can’t do shit like that no more.

Tianna’s Farewell Do

Tianna had a small party in her house last Fri
as she’s leaving to study and live in France this Monday.
I’m so happy and excited for her!
Really think she’ll fit in there with her niceness and love for life.
Seriously… i wish i got to know her better sooner.
I feel lucky enough that i got to spend time with her on hols in Laos.

She’s like the freaking nicest person i know… top of my list anyway.
She never talks too loudly, is soft spoken, polite, cheeky, interesting,
and remembers everything we talk about (which i fail at).

There was once we talked about some psyllium husk thing (she’s really healthy which i aspire to be) and i forgot all about it.
When we met up at the Rollin Sixers album launch party,
Tianna handed me this vacuum-packed thing that looked like a rectangle sponge.
I stared at it in absolute confuzzlement,
thinking oh man i forgot what we talked about, what is this?!
After a few minutes of thinking it’s definitely a sponge,
i broke and asked her what it was.
She laughed and told me she bought some for me since i said i’d like to try it.
HOW NICE IS THAT.
Imported expensive healthy stuff ok!

Anyway yeah, i’m hoping she’ll meet some super nice hot French guy who will sweep her off her feet and live happily ever after.

which could fit a tent, stage and 200 people comfortably.
There was even a huge parking lot next door for RM5, good call!

I managed to pick up a new dress from Sevendays @ Bangsar to wear to the party last Sat.
Phew!
I just felt like i didn’t have anything to wear *looks at sky oh look it’s going to rain*

Clem and i went to pick Lucas and Heloise up in a taxi,
cos we all knew we were going to drink heaps,
and i think as we get older… we realise the consequences of driving drunk.
Life is so short.
Doesn’t mean you allow yourself to get drunk and drive.
That means when you know you want to drink, take a taxi!
It just costs RM20-40, a price of a drink.
And definitely much less than the price of an accident (god forbid).

It was really crowded outside when we arrived at Palace of the Golden Horses,
apparently something happened with the air-con so they didn’t want to let people in yet.

It was one of those nights where i really didn’t know what to expect,
and tried not raising any (because that’s the recipe for a boring night somehow!)
Despite going in late, we were really lucky to spot an empty table
and i immediately bounded towards it and planted myself there.

From 4 of us who went together,
other friends joined us…
and it was pretty awesome, i must say,
that the whiskey + ice + mixers ran free flow and service was PROMPT.
If i asked a waiter for ice, it’d appear less than 5 minutes later!

I think i missed last year’s party cos i was away somewhere,
so now i get what the fuss is about 

I didn’t even run around like how i used to,
just stuck to our table, talked, drank, danced, sang along, etc
Ahhh we all had so much fun!
One of those rare event nights that turn out fanfuckingtastic.

Serena and i had the brilliant idea to take our shoes off (they were absolutely killing us) and danced on the sofas next to our table…
I still had a family of blisters on my feet the next day,
and felt completely torn regarding my loyalty to high heels.
If i love heels so much… why would they hurt me back??
That’s just not right. 

As you can see from the pictures,
things were getting crazy,
i don’t remember taking these,
or who took them,
or why there were almost a hundred pictures in my camera the next day.

Of course, i had to leave a lot of censored ones out 
My friends may not want to party with me anymore if i keep on embarrassing them here.

One thing i didn’t expect was the absence of alcohol at the event arena.
The last time there was a concert where there was no alco was at Zee Avi @ KL Live… and that i understand since she has a predominantly Muslim audience here.
But MGMT… *speechless*
It made me almost wish i didn’t bother buying my ticket.
What kind of concert doesn’t sell beer?
They say there were underaged kids there… ever thought of doing an ID check like they do in the UK?
Geez.
If you ever denied adults alcohol at a music event overseas, i think there would be a riot.
At least TELL people on Twitter before the concert la!

Luckily my past alcoholic sixth sense kicked in a bit that night,
and i had drinks at home and outside before going in.
BUT STILL.
People who love music and beer like i do will GET ME.

I kept apologizing to non-Malaysian friends i bumped into at the concert,
going, “I’m SO SORRY we don’t have alcohol at this concert -_-”
Like why am i even apologising when it’s not MY concert?
Cos i’m embarrassed that’s why!

In the end, Sa saved the night by getting her driver to buy beer.

I get what people mean now when they say MGMT is boring live.
They play good live, but the thing is their music is the sort of thing i listen to when i’m lying down on my bed zoning out,
not something you’d party to.
Still, just getting out for an occasion to drink (smuggled beer), talk rubbish with friends and layan a bit was fun.
I was complaining like crazy that night,
but at the end of it, i thought,
jeez, people are suffering all over the world and i want to whine about a concert?
I should just SUCK IT.

We went to Backyard after that to have  few pints before calling it a night.
I really felt like going out to play in Barsonic,
but Clem didn’t feel like it, and i felt bad (bla bla bla)
and we had to continue moving house so i decided not to.

Really, in my mind she’s not really her age.
And well, i can’t write her age here, she might just unfriend me.
