Fairy Sick

Comments (17) Ugh

Sorry for lack of updates
I’ve been on total MIA since last weekend cos i’ve just been really sick
Instead of being sick for a day or two and getting better, my fevers have got worse and worse with each coming day
I end up shaking uncontrollably from around 10pm onwards and manage to stop if i pop two panadols or paracetamols
I think my shaking is really scaring those who’ve seen it cos it’s so bad i can barely hold something without dropping it

The Manfriend has been really diligent in taking care of me
Getting me to the doctor’s, cooking me what i should eat, buying me what i WANT to eat (to which they’re all tasteless to me atm), making sure i drink lots of water, passing me my meds, putting cartoons on for me to watch, tucking me in, giving lots of hugs.

I finally went home to get out of his hair after four days
And was still sick like shit on Tuesday
So i got HenryIsGold to fetch me to the doctor’s again
Where they made me get a blood test to check if i have dengue

The results came back early night
And i don’t have dengue
Which is good

What is bad is that now she wants me to get a lung x-ray to check for something else

-_-

I spent last night shaking/sweating again
And it’s really tiring
And disgusting
I keep on wanting to take a shower from all these fever spells
Yet i can’t keep on taking showers cos it makes me chilly

And my body hurts like crazy
Everything hurts, i can’t walk properly
I can’t even walk firmly cos my steps seem to jar my head
And causes more headache

Ok i gtg
QueenKanch is here to help fetch me for my x-ray

I just want to know, is it normal for fevers to run for a week or more?
Cos i’m thinking i may just be sick for a long period since i rarely get so sick
And am hoping it’s not something more serious

Whatmore CNY coming wtf
Pantang!

could it possibly be chikungunya? i hear it’s a different strain of dengue.

or perhaps malaria? hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Get checked for blood virus. May need to be hospitalised.

I got exactly these symptoms and it lasted 2 weeks…

    Hope u get better.

  7. here says:

it could be a flu. not cold. wat normal ppl get is cold that goes away in a week. flu is a viral infection. symptoms include body ache, headache, fever, runny nose, painful joints.

  8. Jayelle says:

    =( get well soon..

fever is merely a symptom to many diseases, so be sure to get thoroughly checked. somemore you’re shaking! =( please get well.

It’s not normal and you seem to be having it really extreme, it might have been because you were over tired and perhaps hadn’t been eating properly so your immune system was already low.

Usually it’s over in 2-3 days though. I suggest you get a proper check-up at the doctors.

sounds serious….if you’re having (high?) fever with chills and rigors, my guess is that it could be an infection of your organs – lungs, urinary tract, kidney, liver … the chest xray is to look for signs of lung infections. but that’s my deduction from what i read in this post, don’t get worried so soon – it could be something less serious and I could be wrong.
it’s definitely not chikungunya because you would have severe joint and muscle pain and the disease would have went off in a few days.
I just hope your dr will be able to work it out and get you up and running soon!

thanks for the tips… i looked up chikungunya, dont’ think it’s that cos i don’t have rashes or insomnia…

my neurophil count is high (i know right, wtf is that :p) which points to my body fighting infection… and the shaking chills points to pneumonia… hence the x-ray which i’m doing trow…

i’m tired of being sick -_- so boring

  13. gary says:

raised neutrophils are usually signs of bacterial infection.
chikungunya is a viral infection so another minus for it.

  14. get well soon…expecting more interesting post from u…!
    drink more water…ahahha….< biasa words…
    cheers..!
