I’m From Barcelona always gets me skippy happy clappy
wishing i was out playing in the sun
in Europe for the summer festivals
and not caught in the storms here every day! Well i can’t have it all (but i can jolly well try!)
Ah just click it and play while reading this post okay.
I find it amusing how they name their band I’m From Barcelona,
initially deceiving me that they’re from one of my favourite top three cities in the world.
Band’s actually from Sweden, and Stockholm is ironically one of the next cities i really reallyyyyy want to go tooooo.
Anyway enough daydreaming for now.
Been insanely busy past few weeks.
I even woke up in a panic middle of last night!
It’s like (as usual) all these bits i dabble in decided to clash into one big mountain this week – blog advertorials x4, wardrobe styling, Leftblock stuff, freelance consultation, presentation at agency, playing as SalahWrong for Hanger party.
So here’s a fashion post as a filler first.

Just discovered today that a rat/cockroach/squirrel has made my favourite B&L platforms *their* favourite chew toy!

It’s not just that the shoes are quite new and leather,
but i love them, i do, i do!
Excuse to get new… shoes… *looking on the bright side*
I fell sick on Tuesday and have been self-medicating my flu + fever.
Blaming the move over the weekend and the horrible hot+stormy weather we’ve been experiencing.
I know a handful of people who are more or equally sick!
But i think i’ve got it good since the last time i was sick was a viral fever in 2009…
Wish i could just stay home and do nothing but watch DVDs and eat my Hong Kee porridge,
but i have unavoidable work deadlines, and other meetings which i might as well try to keep if i’m going to pretend i’m not sick.
Wore as COLOURFUL as i possibly could to brighten up my soul!

These floral shorts are actually a side result of the new designs that Chelle and i have been working on for Leftblock‘s new collection.
I say ‘side result’ cos we end up being greedy and making extra clothes for ourselves that we don’t feel makes the cut for the proper collection.
Still, there’s no harm in offering it to people who like it and want to buy it.
These shorts are custom made-to-order
so you can send me your measurements and we’ll make them for you.
Soft material that doesn’t really need ironing (WE HATE IRONING!) and feels like a short skirt without the skankiness, because it’s well, shorts.

i went for a shoot this morning for Estee Lauder’s Earth Month campaign,
and i met Zainal Abidin! Hee hee.
Simone from Bobbi Brown did a great job with my make up,
looks very natural!

Met up with Singapore Tourism Board peeps today,
and very excited to be going to Singapore more this year!
Also met up with Ken who doubles as my insurance agent once a year.
Paid my overdue insurance
and heard scary stuff like how much i get if i survive how long (wtf touch wood).
Rushing out to meet Rudy la Faber for some advice,
then the ex-Freeform girls!

I was in Fat Spoon when Chak asked me to turn around,
and said the aforementioned.
Turning my head around to squint down at my bum,
i pulled a panda sticker off my back. “I, erm, have animal stickers on my car ceiling so sometimes they drop off and i guess this got stuck to me…” i tried explaining to his grinning face.
He’s used to expecting the unexpected after knowing me for years.

and get a rabbit pendant for myself
Sorta like a Chinese New Year token.
The rabbit i had my eye on looked a bit fatter in real life
and my attention wandered to
a green water lily leaf
a feather
then finally
a strange animal that has a rabbit head + ears
deer horns + webbed feet + wings
I had to stop myself from laughing at it.
So i told the shop girl, “Forget the feather. I’m getting this, it makes me laugh.”
And she laughed too.
He’s such a strange creature!
Like what sort of person would DESIGN something like this?!
(And ultimately, what sort of person would choose it… 0_-)
I showed it to my mum and she said, “It looks like a monster.”
I WhatsApped a pic to Kubhaer and he said it looks like the rabbit from Donnie Darko
to which i strongly disagreed cos THAT rabbit was really scary!
Besides, mine wears shorts and has wings!
“I don’t care i love my rabbit!” “It will bring you luck and joy and happiness.”
“Hey i don’t need pity rabbit love.” “It’s really nice i like it. Maybe i need to see it in person.”

Ok so i totally lost the plot
and instead of getting a sweet white rabbit
i got this weird funny one with duck feet (i’m giggling as i type this, how can it not make you laugh!?)
