Roads in KL
There have been two things that are recently more of a pain lately regarding the roads in KL.

One are the potholes.

Is it just me, or are there bigger and more potholes of recent?!
Ashley said it’s because i’m driving a new car.
But i swear i never cursed and avoided so many potholes than i have been for the past few months.

Second, are the insane traffic jams that have been taking place of late (i think its due to merdeka stuff, Ahwin thought its cos of a riot).

Making my way out of the city for meetings and back are such a PAIN in the ass.
I can take the waiting but i hate how i waste time in the jam.
Music makes it bearable and almost, enjoyable (if i’m taking a slow drive home).

There was this moment when the sun was glinting off roofs of stationary cars, MGMT was playing and i couldn’t help playing director (layan diri in the jam la y’know, what else am i gonna do :p)

I showed DidiBuli and she said i’m asking for an accident.
I said i was going at 20km/h la!

Streething Plays Dirty

On another note, ThatGirlCynthia smsed me while i was at work, saying she saw a picture of me next to someone’s pubes on Streething.

Those sort of announcements give you a bad feeling in the pit of your tummy.
Accompanied by thoughts of, “oh gawd… please don’t let it be something really bad. nah… it won’t be that bad. how bad can it be?”

It’s not SO bad.

What happened was, hell, all i did was go for Lapsap at the Loft Zouk on Wed, put on James’ (AdamPoserPan’s friend down from uk) cap on for a bloody TEN seconds, someone shoved a camera in my face, i went something like, “hey… no pictures..!”

And then see what happens.

A picture of me wearing a cap that reads “Play Dirty” goes up online next to a picture of some dude’s pubes sticking out of his jeans.

Sorry you guys whom i said i’d be at Heineken Impulse tonight.
I finally couldn’t take it especially after only 2 hours sleep, and being on the go since 7:15 am.

Spent an hour plus in the freaking Friday evening jam from Jalan BB to Jaya One for a wip meeting.
Had two beers during meeting.
And was falling asleep driving another freaking hour and a half back into KL cos i wanted to drop by the office.

That was damn dangerous.

So i called RR who’s supposed to go to the event with me, “Hey, i’m damn out, i need you to drive tonight.”

And i never, ever ask him to drive on any night prior to going out.
So i headed to his house to park my car and got Tianna to open the door.
You know you’re good friends with someone when you can crash into their house even when they’re not in.

He got back a few minutes later and asked me to wait for fifteen minutes.
I said okay.

I don’t know what happened, next thing i woke up and saw two things -
1. It was past midnight
2. Rudy going, “Oh. Finally.”

I don’t remember this but he said what happened was:

RR: Do you want to go now?”
Me: Yeah… I’d better get up… before… i ZzzZZZzzzzz*”
RR: … Joyce?…. Joyce?………….

He said i was dead to the world.

Got another new hairdo yesterday.
Due to lack of time, Milcah just cut it instead of springing new surprise colour as she’d planned.

I’m still getting used to it…

So i went upstairs… and saw Blink.

“Yeah,” he looked up from his decks.

The peeps from HBO contacted me recently cos their comm director was down from Singapore and wanted to meet me.
Whenever i can, i do schedule meetings (usually a rush dinner or drink one!) to share with them about blogs and (sometimes) their wondering how i can work with them on whatever project, product, and in this case, program they’re promoting (Man, that’s a lot of Ps).

After our dinner, they gave me a media bag of Flight of the Conchords stuff including the first four episodes of their series.

I didn’t mean to write about this at all.

But i had to.

Because.

The show.

Is.

Fucking.

Awesome.

I volunteered it up to watch while RowdyRudy and i were hanging out.

“Haven’t you heard of Flight of the Conchords?”
“No.”
“What?! *goes into detail on who they are*”
“No…”
” *stares at person who’s supposed to know stuff like this cos he’s on radio* You’re so uncool.”
“Oh shut up miss Vampire Weekend!”
“HAHAHA”

We popped the DVD in and watched it.
And boy, did we laugh and laugh watching it.
At points, we had to go back a few seconds cos we missed what they were saying on screen due to us laughing so loud.

The boys flow into song mid-acting and the production, lyrics and direction are hilariously wicked.

We haven’t laughed so hard watching a show in AGES!
Not even for Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

“You know, i bet the HBO people gave me this DVD hoping i’d write about it, and now i WILL cos the show is TOO fucking awesome.”
“Yeah man, they got you there.”
“There are only four episodes though.”
“That’s just fucking evil. Why are you doing this to me?!”

We’ve watched two episodes and keeping the other two for next session.
