I am now in Sydney for the launch of Fashion Bloggers, a new Australian TV docu-show featuring 5 of Australia’s most prominent fashion bloggers: Sara Donaldson of Harper & Harley; Kate Waterhouse of KateWaterhouse.com; Amanda Shadforth of Oracle Fox; Margaret Zhang of Shine By Three; and Zanita Whittington of Zanita. The first episode debuts for Malaysian viewers on Astro this Wednesday at 10pm Malaysian time on Channel E! (Ch712).
Initially i thought of sending someone else to come in my place cos it seemed a *bit* mad that i’d attempt to coordinate the guest list for the Love Bonito launch this Thurs while here, and fly to Sydney the Monday-Wednesday before. I asked Sarah, but she wasn’t free after just coming back from Bali. And i asked Claudia, but it’s her first week as editor of Cleo so she’s out. Then i thought, “Maybe… the Universe is saying *i* should be the one going.”
So here i am.
A bit dead. I landed at 10:30am this morning after transiting in Singapore. Checked in Fraser Suites Sydney at noon and dived straight into work. Napped at 4pm (cos i only managed 4 hours sleep on the plane). Woke up, worked another hour, dinner with my cousin Smalls, then worked till now… it’s almost 1am.
I should get some rest!
But first a bit of storytelling. Somewhere in the middle of my flight, i restlessly thought to myself, “Man. I wish i was in business class so i could sleep properly. One day… i will only fly business class…” And within the next ten minutes, this air steward came by where i was sitting (we were jesting earlier) and passed just me a Kate Spade night bag from the business class section. How odd! And how very nice of him! Bless him! I couldn’t even find him when i stepped off the flight to say thank you.
I’m taking it as a sign that the Universe is saying, “Be patient.” XD
Oh man i’m just having the craziest week
Barely had time to eat or sleep
Posting a quick one before i rush off right now
There’s a gorgeous spread of some Malaysian fashion bloggers

I watched the preview of Dance on NTV7′s Bella yesterday morning, and was so proud to see two of my friends’ work come together in a video! It’s Melissa Indot‘s third single release from the album MDot called Dance, with an appearance by dancer Maybelline Wong – whose energy just jumped outta the screen.
Mayb’s my neighbour too, and i do stupid things to her like call her frantically when i’m accidentally locked in my own house. Sometimes we do more fun stuff, like exchanging tapau-ed food from Seremban and JB earlier this week XD
Going back to Dance, it’s a song dedicated to Melissa’s mother and calls for all of us to appreciate those who love and care for us unconditionally.
/// The music video takes us on a journey using vintage pictures of Melissa’s fans and friends alike with their Mothers as well as Mothers with their own children, reminding us of the innocent and unconditional love shared. Directed by Susan Lankester, who is known for her active role in the Malaysian film and art scene since 1983 when she debuted in the cult classic “Mekanik” and more recently in the movie, “Take Me For Dinner”.
“It was such an experience making the music video with Susan, as we both had the same attitude towards life and our love for art. We had so much fun with all those involved; I started a campaign on my social media for my fans to send their throwback pictures of themselves and their mums / children. The response was overwhelming with several Malaysian Celebrities contributing too. See if you can spot the iconic Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah with activist daughter, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir and film maker grand daughter, Ineza. Also Datuk Sheila Majid, Sofia Jane, Hunny Hatim and DJ Blink. The photos exude pure love, which is exactly what the song is all about”, Melissa says. ///
Ahhh i’m not the best at keeping track of what mags i come out in but i’m trying!
Thanks to NÜYOU mag for doing a feature on Sueann, Claudia, Didi and i.

Over a month ago i had a Christmas shoot for Watsons Malaysia with two other bloggers, Jane and Nana. It felt a bit strange to pretend to experience Christmas so early on, but oh-so-fun!
It was so funny to smile and laugh, and conjure up all these facial expressions of opening great presents! I was making up all this fake conversation when i had to pose next to Nana, and saying things to her like, “Hey Nana!!!! Look what i got you! Don’t you like it!?!?”
Nana’s holding this exclusive Christmas gift box with sticker, which Watsons customers can get when they purchase RM80 and above.*
We shot a lot of pictures… but i haven’t seen most of them yet, save for this huge one that appeared on the front page of The Sun last week for an ad for Watsons!
Look Mom! I made it on the front cover of a newspaper! And it’s not for something embarrassing… XD
Oh and i made it in the back inlet of the paper too! Along with Watsons products on promotion that we love…
This Christmas, Watsons is about ‘Gifts We Love’ because you can get fabulous gifts for yourself as well as your loved ones.
I love getting functional presents nowadays… cos it saves you money from buying it yourself, plus sometimes friends introduce you to new products you never knew you needed in life.
Especially if it’s to do with health, all the better! I’ve been on this journey to being healthier this entire year, and discovered so so many tips on things i need to consume to age on the inside as best as possible.
One thing i’ve started taking and telling everyone about… is digestive enzymes! (i learnt about it from Dhanya then researched lots bout it.) They help break down whatever food you consume so your body absorbs all the nutrients from it, and it’s also a boost when you’re having stomach problems or feeling ill. Sarah was having a tummy ache the other day and i gave her two plant-based enzymes and she texted me asking what exactly it was cos she felt so much better after!
Another thing that i started consciously including into my consumption is fibre. I never thought much about it before, but when my doctor told me i need to start increasing my protein and fibre intake, i googled for foods and fibre products to buy.
You can buy enzymes and fibre products in Watsons as presents (i know they may sound like boring presents but nowadays, everyone buys all the fun stuff for themselves anyway, and health is something that you will never pay enough for!). Plus, i think it shows your family and friends that you really care about them if you gift them with presents that will make them healthier and live longer!
If you’re unsure as to what products to buy, you can always shoot questions at the health experts and pharmacists in Watsons for all the info you need.
Other things from Watsons that would make great presents are bath and body products (cos everyone loves being pampered), make up (cos we can never have enough), Avene Thermale Spring Water (great for travels on the beach/in plane!), car phone chargers, colourful gym bags, and even Minion collectible figurines.
Watsons is reallyyyy into Christmas, they even had a flash mob at the entrance of Pavilion KL. Wait, what am i saying, WHO is not really into Christmas!? I AM LOVING hearing all the Christmas carols, and massive festive decorations in all the malls! (i was practically screaming in delight in BSC last week :p)
The flash mob at Pavilion was super happy… just watch it to FEEL some Christmas love!
Watsons decided to surprise shoppers with colourful elves, reindeer, Santa’s helpers and a jolly Santa!
Watsons is having all these promotions right now, but they’re only valid during the festive season*:
- Christmas Sale is happening in all Watsons stores: Get 2nd item @ 50% discount on selected products.
- Take home a funky power bank (worth RM49.90) for FREE, with purchases worth RM150 (members) and RM200 (non-members).

Thanks to Jun-E from MESYM.com for interviewing me… i wasn’t very keen on it at first cos i don’t think i deserve the spotlight, considering the other personalities they’ve interviewed are doing crazy amazing stuff like saving sun bears, turtles and forests!
FYI, MESYM.com is a platform for environmental movements in Malaysia!
