A race for time

This week was one of the most challenging weeks work-wise for me
Every day was like a race against time
I’d wake up thinking of all the tasks to do and places to be and try not to panic, then just think about THAT day and just GO

This week alone i:

– spent 9am-2am one day working from home (broke for lunch and dinner)

– went to pick up my IC, driver’s license (been going around with barely any ID cos too busy to sort it out!), and got my international driver’s license (for Yishyene and i to drive to Death Valley!)

– chose bathroom tiles with Danny
I’ve been accused of having expensive taste for bathroom tiles and i retorted that, “This wasn’t even the one i really wanted! The bill could have been worse!”

– went to the bank to get a new ATM card
seriously, i don’t know what is happening to me. All this unnecessary stuff will crop up when i’m MOST busy forcing me to be even more busy! My ATM suddenly went faulty a week ago

– was a guest speakerย at the Comms Malaysia conference

– had a 6-hour meeting with Rengee where weย did nothing but discuss work for five projects
I couldn’t believe it when Rengee said it was 10:45pm and we’d been there since 5!
“Look at it this way,” she said, “It’s like we had 5 meetings at one go.”

– attended the new Dior beauty boutique opening in Mid Valley, the diptyque and Laura Mercier event in Pavilion.

– managed to run to Shu Uemura to get my eye brows done, purse at Prada, and accessories at Thomas Sabo

– died through a powerplate workout during lunch time
been so busy that i resorted to lunch time workouts and WHO KNEW that NOONE works out during lunch time so i had a one-on-one with An Nur…

– call Unifi and try not to lose my temper because their server was tripping out on my home wifi for 2 days

– a meeting about It’s The Ship (tix are selling out fast!)

– pitch for an engagement we’re really excited about

– as many emails as i could, decide on garland orders for the shop, and i can’t remember what else. Too many

–ย fit in a long-overdue dinner with Tai Yong, 2 lunches with Baby, dinner with the Formerfrees for Cloud’s birthday, and as much office time as i could in between all that

I’ve been trying to be really positive and cheer myself on inwardly the whole time, but i can’t help berating myself for still having unread emails and unwritten blogposts galore.

Am so glad the week(days) are over. Tomorrow i have to wake up early for a shoot, then to the airport to fly for Singapore Fashion Week with Amber for the Love Bonito show. Have a meeting or two on Sunday before flying back to KL. Then work on Monday…

I can’t wait for my detox. Which is happening Wed-Fri. Because i’ll be so tired, i’ve been preparing for it for weeks – letting everyone know that i’ll be on leave because i need to rest. It’s gonna be so awesome.
