Described as “street luxe style meets Asian sensation”, Singaporean label CHI CHI VON TANG harps on Asia and the Warrior Spirit as its design inspiration with the brand’s bestselling CHI CHI Warrior Bomber seen on the likes of Mick Jagger, Natalie Imbruglia and Eve.
Founded by Lisa Von Tang, she was an international model and former Digital Strategist at O&M before founding online shopping platform Gnossem. It was during her role as CEO in Gnossem when Lisa decided to launch her second brand, citing is as a natural progression upon wanting more control over design and creative vision (real, beautiful, badass, women included).
Lexie has been working for CHI CHI VON TANG for a few months now and is based in Singapore because of it. She convinced Lisa to hold an event in KL hence the series of #chichivontang event pix you might have seen pop up all over your IG feed last week.
The Burma Collection is CHI CHI VON TANG’s second collection inspired by Lisa’s time in Myanmar as she explored the countryside and spent time with the Kayah women “who invited her into their bamboo huts, dressed her up in their traditional dress, and shared their way of life. The collection draws on the pride, purity and strength conveyed in the tribal dress, and is produced in luxurious silks, cupros, highly textured linens and leather.”
It was a rather theatrical performance with lights being blacked out while sound bytes were played as models, musicians and singers made their separate entrances. I took the opportunity to shut my eyes to rest then haha.
I know you looking at me Dee <3

“CHI CHI VON TANG is about humour, mystery, casual luxury, and an appreciation of Asia’s vast design heritage. I also secretly believe its for superheroes.”
